Westminster Politics

Good. People are getting too used to hand outs in this country. They need to get out themselves and earn some money instead of waiting for it to come to them for free like them foreners.
Very true, but enough about the Tories what can the plebs do?

Feck me at the guy at the beginning of the video.

I’d like to say they pick these people to get clicks but sadly I don’t think those views are particularly unrepresentative among pensioners who no doubt get their news from the Mail, the Express and the Sun. How do you even begin to engage with someone who doesn’t like Labour “because they lie” but wants Boris back?

Whenever the tories mention "talent", they mean thick as shit youtube ranters like this apparently.

To think this guy was in the labour party until he was kicked out a year before he was elected as a tory MP in 2019

Bing. Go.

Edit: This is aimed at those people that "escaped to the country" with dreams of living the WFH life style. Encouraged by large corporations and the government during Covid. Unsurprisingly, now the large corps want them back in the (city) offices and train company execs want double their large bonuses that were not forthcoming from the lower foot fall earlier.

I considered upsizing too, but I'm such a cynical bastard I suspected this was exactly what they wanted me to do. So I stayed put ready to be able cycle in comfortably when the call came (and the fares rose).
You'd have to be pretty naive move to the country and expect trains to be a) efficient and b) affordable in this country though. Most probably drive.

So many of the right wingers on twitter jumping on this as evidence of some sort of justified uprising against and invasion of refugees. The same voices that would lost their shit if this was a left wing rally attacking police. In fact compare and contrast their reporting on the Leicester trouble...

Drive where though? To another village? No point driving to any town or city for work as they are all paid parking zones nowadays. And those are not cheap either, unsurprisingly.

Should all be arrested and given 15 years. Their Tory masters have outlawed this sort of shit.

Parking probably cheaper than the train though. :)

it has been paid parking in cities for decades now, nothing new. Lots of offices are outside city centre now too.

I thought everyone knows this?
The Tories don't have another tactic after cratering the economy.

UK politics needs new political parties.

True & Fair party is one trying to get started - give the party leader a listen:

Oh god, Gina Miller. Her and her husband made millions off hefty, opaque hedge fund fees then went on to become zealots for fee transparency in investments. Her campaigning on Brexit was laudable, but I'm always wary of masters of self-promotion always seeking out the next cause.

Excellent speech by Yvette Cooper this morning. Labour are going to walk the next election.

Only a couple of years since anyone suggesting Labour would win on here was met with a barrage of imbecile smilies.

And if the Tories had not self exploded . Don't kid yourself

Yvette Cooper is seriously good and a fantastic Home Secretary. Miles better than anyone in the Tory party.
Lots of people are critical of Starmer and I am not a huge fan.
But the thing is that we need to look at the big picture. Whatever individuals think, he has to appeal to the wider electorate. And he is beginning to do that.
This country can not endure another Tory government. And only Labour can stop that.

No I actually support trans rights. I was not mocking trans people, I was mocking her entire screw up of the whole thing.
I would have gone with "Sturgeon prepared to hold a 2nd resignation if this one doesn't work".

Less emotive.
