Westminster Politics

The nasty party once again. They've nothing else, no plan nor guiding principle other than get wealthy, stay wealthy, be nasty to divide opinion amongst those you're stealing from.

How nice would it have been if he actually talked more about being homeless, got to understand some of the underlying problems, then followed it up with actions and actually helped some of the poorest and most vulnerable people. Would be a huge win for Rishi and homeless people, but nah lets just talk finance instead.

What a pathetic PR move, who thought this was a good idea? off to the nearest hospital afterwards to pick up the slack?

That video is pretty grim. From everything Sunak says, the homeless guy still thinking that when finance does well London also does well and the fake outrage from the Labour Party who have no intention of improving things.

A predictably shite end to a another shite year.

You will feel better when Starmer gets some celebrity endorsements. I'm sure we all will.

We will all fell better when Starmer wins the next election and if he is using a decent PR strategy to help him then fair play. The Tories are using culture wars to help them

Why are politicians so shit?

As MP for domestic violence and safeguarding, her job is to introduce measures to protect those vulnerable. It’s the police that implement them and need to know about individual cases.

I’m sure she’s well aware of how social media is used to radicalise/influence vulnerable people, and even says in the tweet that she knew about Tate doing this.

I don’t see the gotcha moment with it at all.

Tate is the best barometer of a person's standing there is. If you've never heard of him / dismiss him as pillock, youre OK. If you like him your a cnut.

Hey Tory voters, go feck yourselves. This makes me so angry.

More registered voters didn't vote in 2019 than voted Tory.

You can win an election with 13 million votes. And let's be honest, that voting block can be made up of (in the most part) people who may not have directly been impacted by austerity and the country which is falling apart. There are many affluent people who own homes and who send kids to good schools and have sorted out wills and arranged good social care for elderly relatives.

I do think her tweet is pretty poor in how dismissive it is of Tate… in the sense of she just saw him as one of many internet misogynists and she doesn’t have time for it. As if it’s beneath her almost.

I do think she should take it more seriously and certainly, given the unfortunate amount of influence Tate has and his rapid rise in popularity and coverage. She seems proud that he wasn’t really on her radar.

I am not a Phillips hater either as she’s really helped a friend of mine with a domestic violence case and I know she does some great work.

They are such twats. The NHS has essentially collapsed now to be honest. I've got the luck to work for probably one of the most well funded trusts in the country and even we are struggling. At some point this week, approximately 1000 patients were waiting in A&Es across London in the morning awaiting a hospital bed. We're not even fully in the depths of winter pressures yet.

Its a total shit show.
