Fergie is on the phone talking to Inter right now!

Goal.com understands that Inter have received an offer from Manchester United for Sneijder, and that they would sell at the right price.

Muppet.Caf/Transfer understands Inter Milan have accepted Manchester Uniteds offer of a player+cash-swap, involving Wesley Sneijder and Darron Gibson. Manchester United will receive around €10m.

Mate, you seem to have a knack of stating opinion as fachts. Don't be rafa-esque mate. ;)

In your opinion, Rooney is a superior player in every way. In his, not so.

I'm not going to put "In my opinion" before every sentence I say. In my opinion, if that were the case every member of the caf would have to do it on 90% of their posts. In my opinion, that would be very annoying to read after a while.

I dont understand this transfer target.

If we are interested and do sign him, then obviously he is good enough to fit into the team. The people at the club understand football a lot better than I do.

But if it weren't for these strong rumors about the signing, I wouldnt have though for him as being a target given the reported club record trasnfer fee, crazy wages and the fact that he wont be playing in the position where he has had most of his top performances. Everytime I've seen him play, he has been behind the striker. We play with 2 deep lying midfielders and a mobile front 4.

Obviously he is a very good player and it'll be exciting if we sign him, but I'll be a bit surprised if this happened

I think we're going to have a number of formations, if Sneijder does come to us I expect him to play in the middle and final third while Rooney will have a bit of a free role between deep midfield and supporting Hernandez or Berbatov.

Against the weaker teams I think Carrick and Sneijder will be our midfield of choice. Last season we lacked the craft to fully undo them and tried for a more physical approach which the opposition could go toe to toe with. I can see us going back to looking to completely outplay them. Carrick and Sneijder are both fine passers of the ball and Carrick's defensive contribution has been criminally under rated for the last few years.

I think Fletchers role will go back to what it used to, and should be, a defensive midfielder. His poor form coincided with us having a lack of creativity and Ferguson trying to ask Fletcher to do too much. Then we have Anderson who can learn a lot from Sneijder.

I REALLY WANT THIS TO feckING HAPPEN

Daylight robbery! They should at least have the decency and throw in Eto'o aswell! Another Ibra-Eto situation here where Inter is ripping off the other club!

Noticeable that most Italian football websites I visit are discussing Sneijder's possible replacement(s) (Pastore etc) rather than Sneijder himself.

And Pastore as just come out and said he wants to stay in Italy but move to one of the big Italian clubs.

Everything seems to fit! Come on!

Whats the most concrete evidence we've lodged a bid? Paddy 'Aguero 2 Juve' Agnew?

TransferSecrets:

#MUFC have made an official offer for Wesley Sneijder

He goes on to say the price is either £32m or £35m, and he believes the offer was lodged this morning. Inter are currently considering it.

The idea that Rooney is on Sneijder's level when it comes to passing the ball is ludicrous. Rooney is an excellent passer. Sneijder is world-class. That's one area that Sneijder is CLEARLY superior to Rooney. I do think Rooney's the better player overall, but let's not come out with stupid opinions.

Yes! This totally fits in with my post yesterday, stating that Inter will sign Sanchez with the Sneijder money!

Sneijder would provide one thing we've really missed, a central midfielder who is able to go past the strikers and get in the box.

Great set piece delivery, a goal threat from distance, great passer of the ball.

I understand the concerns about him in a 2 in midfield, but I really think he's a good enough player to adapt to that.

Fingers crossed we get him, he would really provide that guile and craft we seem to miss in midfield.

Stupid opinions. Wasn't it you that earlier tried arguing that Sneijder could definitely play as a CM for us because Paul Scholes had done so? I mean, Scholes has only played that role for the best part of his career, and in the Premiership, whereas Sneijder has never played in this league and usually has two or three midfielders sat behind him even in the Italian league.
