The world's best balldies

Corriere dello Sport says Inter need the cash from Sneijder's sale to fund their own transfer triple swoop.

Inter are ready to sell Sneijder to United for £30 million and immediately reinvest that cash in new coach Gian Piero Gasperini's squad.

Velez Sarsfield midfielder Ricky Alvarez, Santos defender Jonathan and Genoa striker Rodrigo Palacio all have deals with Inter waiting to be rubberstamped - as soon as United make a firm bid for Sneijder.

Tribal Football but you never know..

Very interesting stuff from Italy's Corriere dello Sport, who claim that Inter are desperate to sell Wesley Sneijder to Manchester United for £30m because they need the money to pay for Velez Sarsfield midfielder Ricky Alvarez, Santos defender Jonathan and Genoa striker Rodrigo Palacio.

Hmmm...

I give it 4 hours before we are linked with Velez Sarsfield midfielder Ricky Alvarez, Santos defender Jonathan and Genoa striker Rodrigo Palacio.

Can't see shit on the official Corriere website, granted my Italian isn't the best but dello sport were reporting the new gaffa was happy to play a new system to provide for Sneijder.

Fairly big turn in events if this was true.

Closest thing to being worried is this:

Which talks about the market being unpredictable.

Inter, ecco Gasperini: «Qui si deve vincere»

I don't speak Italian. They aren't a site that makes shit up, though.

Its been four hours Hectic. We still have not been linked with them. What say you now?

£30m seems to be a good price for Sneidjer. I would not mind spending that much for a top top player who can serve our side very well for the next five to six years.

This is what Gasperini told Gazzetta re: Sneijder:

He is saying that there is no doubt that Sneijder is a great player but no one knows what will happen in the next 50 days. He prefers that no one leaves, however when Ibrahimovic left two years ago, Inter became a better team. he then claimed that he is not worried about Sneijder's situation because in these last few season, Inter made less mistakes than anyone else in the transfer market.....

Imo, Sneijder will go...I dont know where but he ll leaves for sure

"We have to sell, then after we have sold we will see what Inter will buy," said Inter chief executive Ernesto Paolillo. "The first move will be selling and not buying."

Inter's recent accounts showed lost a staggering £449m over the three years to 2009.

Paolillo added: "Absolutely, we are thinking of UEFA's rules on Financial Fair Play.

"That's why we will start selling, otherwise we will not buy anything.

"But of course we don't want to say who we will sell because that would not be a good thing for us to do in the market."

Unfortunately, according to the caf, Sneijder wouldn't fit into our team. Bollocks.

Sneijder is exactly what this team needs. He'd be fantastic for us in CM. Shame it won't happen.

Christ, you want to see it on Twitter, mate - apparently, Sneijder is 'too old'/'too expensive'/'too bald' etc etc. :(

To be honest, I haven't seen an awful lot of Sneijder. He seemed a bit on the slow side when I watched him.

So for those who know their shit- would he fit in well in a 2-man midfield?

Is that a 2 man midfield with two wingers tucked in and one of the strikers playing deep or a 2 man midfiled with the wingers out by the corner flags and both strikers on a centre half's shoulder?

I don't get the obsession, there are 6 outfield players ahead of the defence. The ground to be covered is the same. Some players might work in one system slightly better but surely if it does matter at all it has to be judged as a pair?

For me there is no real difference if everyone does their job, as formations are rarely that rigid anyway?

Too hard pal, 4231 will do. And Modric's the man for the job.

Yeah, em, probably. I dunno. This is the last time I get involved in talking about proper football stuff.

Where's that Ekekeke fella with his stats and the heat-sensored subbuteo board where he points out where everyone's real position is.

He'll make you look a fool, moses. A fool!
