MOgdenTelegraph:

Man City news later, but it's about Tevez, Nasri and Wesley Sneijder....#mcfc

:nervous:

@MOgdenTelegraph Mark Ogden:
Man City offered Sneijder by Inter for a second time during Nasri delay. City said no. Inter clearly looking to move him on. #mcfc

Man Utd appear to have drawn a line under Sneijder. Will take a big climbdown by the player for anything to happen now.

Nothing new.

Rejected twice by City? I hope Fergie and Gill have his number blocked when he tries to plead for a move on deadline day.

FFS close the fecking window id be happy if he had joined us but, seeing as he hasnt im still fecking happy cracking squad at our disposal. Bollocks if ya think otherwise

Why would they offer him to Shitty, twice, if there was interest from us?

How does he know this?

I don't know what the point of this is...

I think they wanted Tevez in exchange but also City aren't too concerned about, you know, money.

They offered him to city in order to get the highest price. They also know he wont go to malaga.
Today, some italian sites claimed that sneijder wants to leave because he s unhappy with the new role on the pitch and inter should and would prefer to sell. However both sides are playing hard ball and this is making the deal difficult.

I wont be surprised if he stays for now and then leaves in the january window. But sooner or later he ll leave inter for sure. It does not make sense for them not cashing on a player that does not fit in their game and who is also their highest earner.

Whether he ll join united or not, that s another story.

 As funny as that is, I get the feeling a lot of United fans are convinced he'll join us before next Wednesday.

On August 31st 23:01 hours, there is going to be mass suicide amongst United fans all over the world.

The sheer desperation shown by many United fans wanting this to happen has been nothing short of embarrasing to be honest.

Because they know that any time United want a player, City will look to steal him as a way of getting one over on us..? The fact that City arent going for it suggests to me that the deal is dead completely, we're not getting him lads, its over.

No - they offered him to City to get Tevez as a swap and also to stir United into action so that they have time to complete their transfer.

But Sneijder wants United.

Yes, really.

FM has a lot to answer for.

Never played FM, and find it funny that you'd think the only reason we're interested is because of playing that. Perhaps Meulensteen also is hooked on it!

All I'll say is - watch over the next few days as you won't want to miss anything!

I don't really care. I'm happy whether we sign him or not. I just agree with cw that it's faintly pathetic that so many people are desperately obsessing over signing a famous player like they're 12.

That website, for example, is complete cringe and the kind of thing we'd laugh at City or Liverpool for doing.

Well - here's the question put to SAF on MUFC this evening (yesterday evening)

I don't think it is conclusive so make your own mind up.

Could have simply said "No - I think we're done now!"

Mockney - Why shouldn't I be excited about signing a world class player like I'm 12! I support United. I love the fact that Wayne Rooney plays for us with the enthusiasm of a 12-year-old why shouldn't I obsess like I'm 12?

I'm on a United Forum. I'm on the transfer section. I'm in the Sneijder thread which is about Sneijder speculation. Why shouldn't I be allowed to speculate without being called names?

If you don't like it then stay away from thread - no need to call names.

I understood nothing until "how many days do we have left?"

Calm down dear. You're welcome to skippidy doo daa all day long if you like, I'm not stopping you.

Forum, opinions, deal with it, or attack the space where Boss is luv.

Ok guys! So who's going to get the Sneijder tattoo? Someone has to do it...

 Same here! So tintedsepia was right, that video is not conclusive at all, in fact all it seems to show is that Sir Alex doesnt know what day of the week it is :nervous:

Try this (my best stab at it):

Report: Will there be another transfer before the close of the window, or do you think you're done now?

Sir Alex: (Stutters a LOT) How can you draw transfers to this moment, talking about who we're.. How many days have we got left?

Reporter Stutters: I know, but I just thought (stutter) you might be able to explain..... (stutter)

Ach, it's just one of them questions

I didn't understand anything SAF said but I think there might be an offer for Sneijder but he's refusing to accept our wages. It might go to the last day but I don't think anything is likely to happen now unless he has a real change of heart.

Even if we don't sign anyone, even the most die hard muppet has to respect our confidence. "We could break our balls and sign him for £XXm, but sod it, we're good enough to carry on without him".

To be honest it's seems more and more like there's a new breed of football fan emerging. The sort that seem more interested in what superstar player is signed than how we actually do on the pitch.

I find it quite bizarre.

For the record though, I'm not accusing you of this. This is the first time I've really noticed you in this thread.

You know what folks it might be the booze talking but I reckon its back on like Donkey Kong, Inter don't want him, we want him, he wants us...

*sigh* why do I do this to myself?

We're good enough to challenge for the title without him. But if injuries/loss of form or fitness strike we'll be saying we should have signed a midfielder.

SAF has done this before guys. Class of '92 were not on their own. SAF brought in Cantona and he helped guide them to more success.

If it worked then why do you not think SAF would want to do the same now?

We are more than capable of winning the league title without Sneidjer. Its only Europe where we will need his help.

Without a doubt, in fairness if we avoided the two Spanish sides we're more then capable of winning the Champions League too, I'm unsure if this is down to us being really good or everybody else being average, which is what I thought was the case last season.
