Modric signed for Spurs for £16.5 million in 2008, that was 3 years ago & his profile & play has risen big time since then. Modric is worth more than £25 million on looks alone - that lad will have all the single ladies - all the single ladies... wet in their pants!

I am not really sure what to say in response. But I am laughing all the same.

I reckon in your work place you ask for sums of money that are well in excess of what starving people in Somalia could ever hope to earn. Assuming that is true, who the feck do you think you are demanding thousands of pounds a year when people in Somalia are struggling to feed themselves? Its all relative.

That argument is redundant & its a bit shit to use serious poverty as a vehicle to make a point - there's no comparison anyway.. Our game has been ruined by greed - end of!

I love your confidence. You are aware that it's not a 3aside in the Champion's League, right? There's plenty of other strengths we have that can hurt Barcelona...

Oh sure like how we hurt them really bad the last two times we met in the finals?

Are United the only team that simply will never win against Barca then?

We've so many young and improving players, it's ridiculous to hold those two results from the past against them and assume the team can't improve.

There's every chance things will go differently next time - other teams have beaten Barcelona - or they could get knocked out themselves before the final in the future. Who knows? Thinking that United's chances comes down solely to the acquisition of one player is ridiculous.

:lol::lol::lol: I dont know why but I lol'd

Yeah those new supports on the new shirts shoulders that are wicked for shoulder-charging the feck outta the opposition.. or we could also do what this lad did:

You know, you could argue that United themselves are being greedy by not being willing to cough up and meet his fee if they want him that bad.

Face it, footballers have short careers and they're out to make as much as they can before retirement. Anyone would try and push for as high a wage as they can get.

Now either the deal goes through with one party making a comprmise or we don't sign him at all. I certainly wouldn't feel any ill feelings towards Wesley if it was because of 'wage demands'....afterall its United making the enquiries its up to them to try and get the other parties to agree to the deal

In fact we had proved during our past 2 CL finals.

If we really need to hurt those guys than CM needs to be strengthened.

i want sneijder to come and make us better. but if this does not happen then oh well.

let's not forget xavi, iniesta, pedro, busquets (however you spell it) are all there home grown talents. they were untried and tested. barca did not know how these guys would turn out, no-one does untill the lads are given a chance. we have to give our youth the chance aswell, you never know we may dominate like barca are at the moment.

anyway, even if we do get sneijder, it would not bridge the gap between us and barca, it's a team game...

We'll hammer them with Gibbo and Cleverley :D

Im sure that Iniesta is already shitting in his pants at the very thought of facing Gibson or Carrick. We still lack of another centre back and possibly a striker though.

We may have the raw talent but there's no leader to lead them to the right direction. The Fergie babes had Keane in his prime. Now the only leaders we have in CM is a 38 yr old Giggs and erm Carrick.

Iniesta won't be involved if we long ball over him straght to Nani, Rooney, Chico and the rest. Come on now...why go throught the middle when we don't need to.

Who fecking says we will play Barcelona in the final again next season anyway? The likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and City will want to have a big say in who reaches next year's big game.

Anything can happen in football. City could beat them over 2 legs in a quarter final and go on to meet us in a semi.

So much arrogance at the Caf.

Considering the talent we currently have in CM then that would be the best strategy we can use against Barca. Fingers crossed on Cleverley. We need this boy to do something that not even Scholes was capable to do (ie succeed without a world class tutor at his side).

You're right I won't be surprised if Real knocks us down. Chelsea and Shitty are still inferior to us though. A great team - CM can beat them.

That's something SAF will be expecting to see more of from Fletcher as he matures, I'm sure.

the question i would ask who is barca's leader? not xavi, not busquets, not iniesta and defo not pedro.

i agree with plan m, who says we are to play barca in CL...but they are the bench mark at the moment.

We could get a tough group and not qualify from that even! Stranger things have happened.

This constant United-Barca comparison thing going on at the Caf is ridiculous. That team are on a different fecking planet to the rest of the footballing world right now and signing Sneijder or any other overpriced midfielder isn't going to change that fact.

I love that clip. Legend of a woman.

 She's fecking awesome. MUTV might be worth watching if it had people like that grilling tabloid idiots.

'Is it a locker, is it a flip flop?'

Feel sorry for her bloke though if that's how she argues at home... I'm guessing he conceded the trousers in that relationship long ago.

They should have had her on the select committee interviewing the Murdochs, not muppets like Louise Bagshawe.

Wise Up! Retirement - at 35 years old? Can we all retire at 35 - no we bloody-well cant!

If a player wants to retire in his 30's so be it - but its not our fecking concern to give him a "feck all to do - all day to do it" retirement package... get another job if you've become shit at the one you have - thats the real world!

I wanted to stay away but couldn't resist. Who was our leader in 2008?

Oh & i wouldnt either, but i would if he didnt come because of it tho.. or signed for City for something mental!

Brilliant line that  every chance she didn't come up with that extemporaneously and had it written down.

They don't need anyone to tutor them now because they have now become world class players. In the past Xavi covered their arse as Keane did with Scholes and co.

It was your quote. You know better. You said we have had no leader on the pitch since Keane. So, I'm asking you who it was in 2008.

No I said that the Fergie babes had Keane in his prime that provided ample class and quality to allow them to grow in the players they were/are now. We don't have that now.

This is in fact the first time I have seen a United without at least 1 world class CM (Robson-Keane-Scholes etc).

Poor analogy, he's asking for more money a human can spend a truly obscene amount of money. Most like me are just keeping it all together financially.

It's the highest capatipist earners in societys fault for there being an ever growing divide between the have and the have nothings. But that's a debate for another day.

Bullshit, he could spend that amount of money, he wouldn't be the first player. The money that he earns in his career, that's going to have a serious effect on his lifestyle until the end of his days. Both you and he demand more money than you need to live on, while other people get by on far less, the only difference is that he can earn a hell of a lot more than you or I.
