For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don't believe, no proof is possible.

The truth is the deal was off right after our game against City in the Community Shield..

EDIT: Since the end of that game Inter AND Sneijder have expressed their interest in the deal more than once, but WE were the one who remained silent, and in fact, not really interested..

The truth is neither us nor the reporters know anything of substance. That's the real truth.

This thread is not about Sneijder any more.

Two groups of Caftards are here:

1) posting what a shit and embarassing thread it is,
2) posting gifs.

Wr8 deserves his own group, "I still believe".

Latest on twitter is that he has actually signed for us but we've sent him on a 4 year loan back to Inter Milan

But your "The truth is the deal was off right after our game against City in the Community Shield..", based on current evidence, is not actually the truth though.

Sneijderman, sneijderman...does whatever a sneijderman can. Will he sign? Will he feck. We'll sign eboue with a bit of luck

LOOK OUT HERE COMES THE EBOUEMAN

Signing Kaka is a terrible idea, he's injury prone, and if you think Sneijder's wage demands are bad, what do you think they'll be like for a player who's currently under a contract signed when he was the second most expensive player in history.

Out came the Glazers
And dried up all the green
And the itsy-bitsy sneijder
Climbed up the spout again

If you act like a condescending cnut to everyone, then everyone will think you're a cnut, and I think most do already, to be fair.

Young playing on the left means he's a replacement for a Ryan Giggs who now plays in the middle does it? And Fergie makes absolutely no statements about Giggs in that article so it's completely irrelevant.

Condescending? Me? Never!!

cnut? Me? Possibly!

But you are living in feckwit land if you think our new left wing player is not replacing our soon to be retired left wing player.

There is nobody in the world would call a soon to be 38 yr old, Giggs, a centre midfield player just because he has slowed down a bit. There is a vacancy for a special midfield player, but it certainly is not to replace Giggs.

You have a very special way of talking total bollocks, but if it enhances your potty mouthed, shit talking, Redcafe personae, then I will accept you declaring me a cnut.

In the meantime, bring on the kids, I remember the lasts ones making their mark.

Sneijderman, Sneijderman,
he's from Holland like Jaap Stam.
When he shoots he'll destroy,
just like Ruud Van Nistelrooy!

I've been following transfer news centre on twitter, they have a good accuracy rate and seem to be a reliable ITK. They are suggesting that there have been 2 days of talks with Sneijders reps and that talks will continue today, but that perhaps this will be the final round of talks. They say there will be an update tonight.

Where have the Fergie saying "No signings" come from anymore? There just seems to be the one source on Twitter who's said that while everyone else who's watched it say he banned all questions on transfers and Sneijder and never said that?

Has anyone who has MUTV watched the press conference yet? I would imagine if Fergie had said anything regarding transfers one of the journos on twitter would of tweeted it by now

Everyone's giving off their own version of events but the "No signings" has just come from one source on Twitter while everyone else who watched it said there was nothing of that sort at all.

Fergie didn't take any Transfer/Sneijder questions.

I watched it. Spoke of the Riots, then spoke of the players who played in the Second half on Sunday helping his selection decisions against WBA, but still having to respect the experience of the players coming off at half time.

Then went on to talk a bit about the danger of branding the current youth the "next class of '92" following a Journo question.

Nothing asked about Sneijder or any general questions about any new signings or outgoings.

Exactly. All this talk of locking the thread and other rubbish has originated from a Tweet by just one person (RT'd by gambit in this thread) who claims that Fergie has said there won't be anymore signings.

Besides, who believes Fergie anyway?

Helpful those newbies aren't they

Fergie in great form there, I suspect the press were told no talk of transfers given 8 minutes in there wasn't even a hint of will we sign anyone else

Exactly. Still don't know where the quotes of "no signing" came from.

Ian Ladyman said there is something that will interest United fans about the transfer in the paper tomorrow but that's just him trying to get hits for his paper in all probability.

Can't believe Sneijder would miss out on a move to United just for a bit of extra cash.

He'll cave in to our demands imo.

For anyone claiming transfer q's were banned - they weren't, they're embargoed until tomorrow

I guess that's why Ladyman said to look out for quotes tomorrow...

Sneijder could be like Benzema, if we signed him we probably wouldn't have signed Hernandez. Be happy guys, we have the best manager in the history of football.

...and Darron Gibson to call on in midfield.

Good job we're ahead of the competition. Hopefully Chelsea don't do any further significant business this window.

Interesting, wonder why they'd want the quotes to be kept quiet until the day the football actually starts.....

*Window closes on 1st of September*

Wr8: Yes the window has closed, but this twitter source has claimed we will sign Sneijder in January!
