Big mistake if we sign Sniejder. Not the player we need and he's over priced.

So you know better than SAF?

I personally think he would be great in our side and would allow us to compete against Barca, if that is really possible, and also allow the likes of Cleverley to slowly develop rather being thrusted into the spotlight.

I had a Sixth Sense this would happen, the Signs were there, but we have to stay Unbreakable in our belief that aul Wesley will be in The Village of Carrington to do the necessary & become a Devil...

Its a case of what can you do about it?

I was not overly pushed when we signed Berbatov but as it got closer my inner muppett revealed itself and I got excited about it the move.

It was not until after he was with us for a few months that I felt he was a mistake.

So you should at least give it a chance

lazy fecker get out and get a job :p

Eto'o & Sneijder sales only the start of Inter damage control

In the three years from June 2006 to the summer of 2009 the club lost €509m. FIVE HUNDRED AND NINE MILLION EUROS. That’s an average of €170m a year. In total, the club has made losses of well over €1 billion in Moratti’s 16 years at the club, with the cost to the president himself in his role as chief financier topping out at over €750m.

They offered plenty of protection, it was creativity that we were woefully short on.

So the fact we were continually outfought away from home in the PL was down to lack of creativity was it?

You have to have the ball to create, and too many times last season Carrick and Fletcher were found wanting. There is an initial battle for supremacy that must be won before the right to play football is earned, and we did not earn that right often enough. That is why so many teams gave us such a hard time last year, not through lack of creativity, through lack of control in the middle.

Liverpool, Arsenal, West Brom, Bolton, Sunderland, Fulham, Birmingham, Blackpool, Stoke, Blackburn, Newcastle and most especially Villa all completely dominated our midfield for uncomfortably long periods last year.

If you think that was down to lack of creativity then that is your choice, but i attribute it to a lack of a dominant figure, and an inability to keep the ball under pressure. Sneijder may address the keeping the ball problem, but the fact he usually plays in front of specialised DM's like De Jong do not suggest he will add much defensively. That is my concern.

it really won't surprise me if City do go in for him and offload someone like Barry or Milner.

it's the same route Chelsea took and it worked. We'd have won the league instead of them in 05 and 06 if it was us that got Robben and Essien. Not only will it strengthen them it'll stop us from strengthening. Two birds, one stone. A small time strategy but effective all the same.

Players thrust into the spotlight, not in a media sense but i would say in pitch time.

Giggs, Henandez, Beckham, Just a few to mention.

Cleverly is early 20s is he not, If he cannot be thrown in now then when ?

SAF can't make mistakes? It's my opinion. I just think we could spend the money more wisely. I also said we didn't need Modric either.

thats an ad? any youtube link? i thought the guy was on crack and mumbled nonsense

Send in Terry Crews, he will sort the transfer is out.

"Hello Wesley

Look at your club, now back to United. Now back at your club, now back to United. Sadly you don't play for United, but if you stopped toing and froing over wage demands and switched to the Premier League, you might get to play for United. Look down, back up, where are you? You're at Manchester United with SAF, the man that you could play for. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an oyster with two copies of your brand new contract.. Look again, the contracts are now diamonds. Anything is possible when your play for a mans club and not a ladies.

I'm on a horse."

Feck I'm totally torn over Sneijder

On one hand I've learnt to spell his name, so shame to waste that (Schmeichel took me ages too)

Then I'd love to see Cleverley make it - then I wonder if Sneijder would make him a better player, or stifle his chances??

Always great to sign a world class player, but... Fergie doesnt normally buy the finished article, preferring, with monster portions of success to nurture young talent into diamonds; thus getting not only a great player, but a grateful one, who'll do whatever he asks........

then, how will I feel if City sign him.... it'll okay as long as they finish behind us, but a complete summer long nightmare if they dont......

argh ! :nervous:

Tbh man its not our money to spend, so as far as i'm concerned - spend the feck away Senor Hairdrier!

I'm baffled you dont want aul Wesley nor aul Luka - which aul do you think we need then?

They are both way overpriced. If as it seems Inter needs to sell we should wait we are not in a desperate need. Modric would be costing £40m plus the way Tottenham screw us over.

I would much prefer if SAF would have gone for someone like Nasri (I understand that he's going to City now - but did we make a firm offer). I like the look of Goetze as well he was excellent for Germany. Also Schweinsteigger.

The point is are we really in need of Sneijder right now?

Im reading on twitter that city have agreed a fee for him too

You better provide a link to the twitter feed you're referring to pretty sharpish.

WUMMING in the transfer forum is getting a bit out of hand.
