Inter decline was caused by a number of factors
a) they weren't the best team in the first place. Inter win against Barca was down to Mourinho's tactical brilliance and luck
b) the team was old in the first place. Players like Materazzi and Zanetti needed quality cover/replacement which Moratti failed to sign
c) Injuries which swept the team like plague.
d) Poor choice of coaches. Leonardo and Benitez brought a knock out effect to the team and contributed only in creating havoc in the team and lower the team moral
e) Once Inter won the CL (the owner's target in the first place) Moratti stopped investing in the team and changed his aim to a financial book balancing strategy.
Well said! I didn't say Sneijder was behind their decline, I'm saying all those points were why Inter won the treble in 2010, NOT Sneijder alone.. Thank you, that's my point.
And for the rest, were you even watching football in 2010 when Inter won the treble?? Nobody then singled Sneijder out as the "reason" behind their success. It was a team victory and if it was to be credited to one man, then it was definitely Mourinho's victory.. For God's sake Sneijder didn't even make the top 3 nominees for best player in the world that season! But now there is a chance he may join United, suddenly FM addicts think he is the best player in the world! Pathetic.
Besides, with your ridiculous "logic", Kaka was behind Milan's success in 2007 (REALLY behind their success, not Sneijder's way).. I think we all saw how that turned out for Real Madrid, didn't we?? C**ks in will ya?
Glad SAF is not as mad as most people here, and won't splash crazy money on him like most of you would do..
