Is this seriously a point? Who gives a toss about Barca? He would improve Manchester United.
Barcelona are beatable, everybody is. Inter beat them the year before, the first thing that needs to be sorted out by everybody (players, managers and fans) is the minority complex the have towards Barca. Stop fearing them, that is ultimately what killed us in the Final last spring.
Other than that I'm not going into that United vs. Barcelona debate.

Because its all about Barcelona, are the current United good enough to win EPL, Of course! United are the reigning champions! So if you wanna improve the champions team, you do it, to take the team to another level to fight Barcelona. Sneijder would improve the team, but United would still be way behind barcelona. So what is the point of it? United is second best team in europe already.
To answer the last question well sometimes i sit on my chair look through the window outside, start thinking for few seconds and boom like of nowhere some random stuff comes to my mind. and i think 'wow thats a good idea, i should share it on red cafe'

The better we are as a team, the better chance we have of beating Barcelona. We could have a better team than them and still lose, and have a worse team than them and still win, but our chances improve with our quality, the same as they do against any side. Sniejder would improve our side's quality.

Dudes you got it wrong. I am not saying dont sign Sneijder. I am saying why this obsession whatever we sign him? He is unlikely to have that huge of an impact on United success coming season
He would improve us and we get closer to closing the gap between us and Barca. If we don't buy anyone then how do we bridge the gap? And we have not faced Real after they have got the second exodus of galaticos. So you can't assume we are the second best team in Europe. We get him so we can cement our place as Champions of England for another year.
Stop assuming things in the first place. If you don't like him and don't like our obsession over him, then why bother posting in this thread.

I remember discussing with my wife (many years ago) that I considered myself middle-aged by the time I passed 30. I was working on a life expectancy of about 90 years - the middle period of which is 30 - 60.
Were you bald or balding by the age of the 30? Do you have a gut? what did you think of load music at this stage of your life? Did you need to use viagra?
Although some might count as 'obsessed' about whether we do or do not sign him (with different crazies desiring different outcomes) it is still reasonable for people to be 'interested' in whether he will sign or not (and the pros & cons thereof).

Keane was an inspirational figure for both young Scholes and Beckham. He lead them in the right direction, he covered their arses when they found lacking (mostly because of lack of experience) and he kept them in line. We don't have that type of player now. Giggs could have do it but he's got 1 yr max left in him. Who will do that? Carrick? Park in midfield? Gibson? Fletcher?

I like Sneijder, and if we sign him I'll be happy, but I have to say, I agree with Valentino here.. Sneijder is no Messi or Ronaldo. He is just a MIDDLE aged midfielder (yes in football, 27 is middle aged) who is very good at best, but that's it. We don't even know if he can fit in our midfield or if he can adapt to the premier league yet. (Please, co**s in, who thought Torres would fail like that in his first year with Chelsea?)

I suspect you didn't act youthful at 30 and all. But yeah, a bald patch is a huge sign of aging/being middle aged. When I was 30, I looked 21.

it is weird when you put it this way. ok nevermind then.
It just felt like we are this worlds fastest runner alive, but we got to beat this previously set world record of 9 seconds. but our best time is just 9.5s and it is impossible for us to run any faster. and there is these new super shoes costing 1 million. that would improve our time by 0,2 secs. and we run the distance in 9.3 secs when we buy them. Its all cool and happy at first, but latter you just think we are still the fastest runner in the world alive, but the world record is still out of reach, we just spend 1 million o f'ing shoes and it changed not that much.
But we looked fecking sexier doing it in 9.3 seconds, and as we all know, appearance > substance!
We might never make the WR but the guy's who were previously close at the finishing line with times of 9.7 are now dust in our trial, take that feckers!
