So not only has this riot spread, it's now fecked up our prospects of signing Sneijder? THIS MADNESS HAS TO STOP

Two football matches have been postponed and questions raised over other sporting events after a third successive night of rioting in London.

Tuesday's games at Charlton and West Ham were called off on police advice.

BBC Sport understands that the Football Association will hold a routine meeting with police on Tuesday over England's friendly with the Netherlands.

The FA will be guided by police advice, but at this stage is planning for Wednesday's game to go ahead.

BBC, obviously.

Easy solution: move the game to Old Trafford.

People would have to make new travel plans and change everything. So it might not be the best plan to change the venue even if its within the same country. By just cancelling, I guess you could just refund the ticket.

Manchester United target Wesley Sneijder again hints at move saying Inter Milan must sell if good bid comes in - Transfer News - MirrorFootball.co.uk

Wesley Sneijder has again hinted at a transfer to Manchester United.

Asked whether he’d like to switch to Old Trafford, the Inter Milan midfielder said: “Yes, but nobody has called officially.

“Maybe there have been unofficial talks. The situation is that I am an Inter Milan player, but there’s a chance that I will leave.”

Sneijder: I am for sale if the right offer comes in

Sneijder plays for Holland at Wembley on Wednesday, and will then sort out his future.

He added: “If something crosses my path, I have enough time to take a decision about it.

“It is down to the club. If a good bid comes in, they have to let me go. They don’t want to lose me but there’s a chance they will.

“I am leaving England after the game, but if I get permission, I have to go back.”

The biggest stumbling block for Alex Ferguson remains Sneijder’s wages – £5.25million a year after tax.

But his comments are seen as a sign he’s ready to accept a lesser deal in England.

Sources at Inter say that, despite reports to the contrary, Manchester City have yet to make contact over Sneijder, and are unlikely to do so.

It wasn't a solution, just a muppetry answer.

You are ducking me like you duck hygiene products.
Just as you ducked out of my offered bet - even with the escrow account conditions that you insisted on - about Modric being sold.

You're a typical internet warrior - all mouth and no trousers.

feck, if only I could find my Olly-esque Sneijder vid :[

Has there ever been a transfer story where so many are convinced that a player will sign and he doesn't?

Found it!

How close were we to signing Ozil last season?

Dunno but I dont remember any media saying it's a cert to happen or a deal agreed or any potential sticking points in a deal (wages in Sneijder's case)

I think Ozil was more of us needing a midfielder, him coming off the back of a good world cup, available and available in the value for money category so people put 2 and 2 together

We were not even close to signing Ozil and we still had a pretty big thread on him last summer?

England game abandoned. So you'll have to get your fix from elsewhere Sneijder fans
