Rafael van der Vaart, stopped by the Sky Sports News blockade outside Tottenham's training ground, said of his Dutch international colleague: "Of course he would like to play in England, it's the biggest league in the world. He is a good friend of mine and we have contact almost every day. He knows what to expect in the Premier League. I hope (he doesn't join United) because Man Utd are going to be stronger. But he's a great player and he fits in well at Man Utd."

This deal can now be completed earlier then usual. But I doubt Fergie will be in the mood to do any business given the social climate.

1) For no reason whatsoever, you began to claim that I wouldn't pay up if I lost the Modric bets that I'd already agreed with 3 or 4 Caftards. This was simply an unwarranted, unfounded attempt at character assassination that speaks volumes about you.

2) You then said you'd only bet with me if payment was guaranteed via depositing the funds in an escrow account.

3) I responded by saying that setting up an escrow account - as you suggested - for a paltry bet of £20 or £30 is a nonsense and not worth all the hassle.

4) Despite knowing that your escrow suggestion was nothing but a blustering phony, I then played along and offered you an escrow-guaranteed bet provided that the stake was substantial enough to make the hassle worthwhile. I suggested a £1,000 stake, but would have been open to a counter-suggestion provided it involved a sum in the hundreds at least.

5) Silence from you.

6) After a pause, you return to claiming that I won't pay up if I lose the Modric bets.

Basically sunshine, you're a snivelling weasel.

OK, so it seems the info has come from Vincenzo Perotti (former football correspondent with ESPN & Sky Italia.) on Twitter. He said;

So what my contact understands: Sneijder himself is travelling to England tomorrow. Inter have not accepted the bid yet, as they are still trying to tie up deals for his possible replacements.
