If city get sneijder and keep tevez what would their line up be like with 433?

Hart

Richards
Kompany
Lescott
Clichy

Sneijder
Toure
Silva

Aguerro
Balotelli
Tevez

That looks like one of the best teams in the world to me. They might still lose tevez and not sign sneijder. Let's hope so.

Their defence - Kompany aside - is still shit though

In my humble opinion.....

# Inter Milan are desperate to sell him and recover 30-35million. They must not appear to be keen to sell for obvious valuation reasons and to keep the player happy, in the event of a non sale.

# All the talk about selling has been coming out of Italy as opposed to the talk of buying coming out of OT, so the latest trick is to leak shite about City's interest in order to prompt United into making a move.

# Sneijder wants the move but does not want to lose his exceptional wage packet. He has a healthy contract with plenty of life in it, so, quite rightly, he wants as good a deal as possible in the event of a move.

Right now it is poker game and SAF has a great poker face. If he loses, he will certainly have a 2nd choice, so by not going public about his serious interest in Sneijder, the 2nd choice player will not feel 2nd choice.

This is a game of brinkmanship and I am not too sure why caftards are getting so hot and bothered, worst still, becoming abusive towards each other.

Chill!

I'd say that is about spot on.

Has he? I reckon he'd gladly pay what's been quoted if he could. Look at his history of signing big named players - Rio, Rooney, Berbatov, Veron et al. As you can he's not scared to spend big, I reckon when he wants something, he goes out and gets it regardless of paying over the odds.

I am not convinced that SAF sees Sneijder as a "must have" signing. He is probably one of several he is interested in.

I think SAF would have had Nasri before Sneijder, hadn't Nasri indicated that money was his God.

Spot on analysis. (probably).

If there is interest, Fergie is playing his cards correctly by not revealing anything. An admission by either side would probably result in even more media hype which would affect the player's perceived valuation, and potentially sink the deal completely.

Inter director Branca on Sneijder rumours: "There were exploratory talks, but have not yet gone so far that money has been talked about. Inter do not want anyone to stay or leave if he does not willingly want to."

And the already posted :
Sneijder talks imminent | Manchester City News, Fixtures, Results, Transfers | Sky Sports

I would so like to witness an entire transfer negotiation once. What the hell are those exploratory talks which don't go so far that money is mentioned?

"Hey, are you guys willing to sell Sneijder?"
"Yeah, if we get the right offer."
"Sweet."

Then what? Boom, next talks scheduled for two weeks later for no reason and then someone might mention money? How does it go?

I think SAF would have had Nasri before Sneijder, hadn't Nasri indicated that money was his God.

How do you know Nasri's indicated that money is his God? and even if has, how is it any different to Sneijder wanting £230K a week? Nasri would be cheaper, but to me it appears as if Sneijder is his preferred option... or else Nasri would've been a United player by now.

Sneijder, if we are to believe what we hear, wants the same NET pay as he is currently on.

Nasri, it seems wants a huge hike and again if we are to believe what we hear, has chosen City over United.

What reason other than money would a player choose City over United? Therefore, I think it is fair to assume Nasri's God is money.

No offense to Twigg but I'm going to post about Sneijder 8 mins before KO in the Shield.

According to @Ian_Ladyman_DM on BBC Radio5Live, Sneijder is not and never has been an option for City. Eto'o/Tevez was a possibility.

Hang on, he still wants £230K and if he doesn't sign for us it's due to money. As for Nasri, he's a very very good players, I suspect he thinks he's worth more than he's on at the moment, I've seen £130K quoted in the press....and that's well within our pay structure. If Fergie wanted him, his transfer fee'd be a damn sight less as would his wages - to me it's an indication that he doesn't fancy him, whereas he sees Sneijder as the better player...albiet one who will cost the GDP of Netherlands. I can ask you the same question, what reason would Sneijder not sign for United? Money, obviously. Like most players.

I definitely think you have been reading different numbers from myself.

Going back to my post that you have decided to challenge, let's just see if I am wrong. I think as a result of this stand off, SAF will save himself upwards of £5m and I bet the player ends up taking a cut in wages, but with a deal on images or such like that will net him the same income.

I may have misread this shite totally, but I am pretty sure that Sneijder doesn't want to go to City, regardless of numbers. Nasri on the other hand, fancies himself worthy of some oil money.

If it is the case that Ferguson wants Inter to know we won't be held to ransom and there are other options.... and we are still trying to persuade Sneijder we really want him and he will be our star man ect.... that's a tricky situation!

To Inter: "Meh, whatever, if you want to sell him we'll offer £xxM that's your lot"

To Sneijder "Of course we want you! You will be such an important player for us! We really need a player like you to complete our team, but we don't want to pay you too much...."

I'd love to know how these negotiations work!

forget sneijder, we have tom cleverly instead:D

Yep, adding Sneijder to this side would be utterly sensational I feel.

Cleverley was sensational today. Sneijder will have to fight for his place if/when he comes.

This post says all about Cleverley's performance today, he was great, wr8 uses 'if' when he's talking about Sneijder saga!

Sneijder: "Regarding the interest of MCFC & MUFC I’ll be brief. I have not talked to the two teams. My future for now lies at Inter. Next week I play with Oranje against England and five days after that I assume by then all will become clear." (Voetbal Int'l).

Ok enough on Sneijder for the moment

It's all over now, baby blue.

It'll be interesting if he watched today's game.

Lets face it, from a purely impartial perspective, surely he'd have to look at some of our play, and in particular the build up to our second goal, and think - "yeah, i'd prefer to be a part of that."

We looked a class above City today, and apart from their two goals, we looked far superior in terms of possession, hunger, and overall performance.

Dutch journalist Van Der Kraan: "Sneijder will sign for Man Utd after England match."

and

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini confirmed the club are not interested and haven't discussed a move for Wesley Sneijder.

and

Sneijder is continually being linked with a move to Manchester United, while a report on Saturday suggested that Manchester City have also set their sights on the playmaker.

"All I know is that Inter need money and that I'm for sale if the right offer comes in. I have five days off after the international friendly against England on Wednesday. I expect clarity on my future by then," Sneijder said to Voetbal International.

The former Ajax and Real Madrid star then went on to discuss the interest from the Premier League champions and their city rivals but said that he hasn't held talks yet.

"I can be very brief about the interest from Manchester United and City: I haven't spoken with either of those two clubs, so I can't really say much about my future at the moment."
