Duncan Castles thinks that City can't afford Sneijder's 200k a week wages? Really? The same club that pays the likes of Yaya and Tevez above 200k?

Delighted he's not coming.
It's the FFP isnt it?
Castles is an arsehole.Duncan Castles thinks that City can't afford Sneijder's 200k a week wages? Really? The same club that pays the likes of Yaya and Tevez above 200k?
But I'm sure they'll pay Nasri roughly the same amount and plus they'll also get rid off Tevez. City being unable to afford Sneijder's wages seems odd to me.
Inter technical director Marco Branca did not rule Sneijer Wesley's departure, but he insisted not received an offer from Manchester.
Gazzetta dello Sport has just launched an agreement between the Nerazzurri and the Manchester City related Sneijder involving funding up to € 36 million.
"You always ask about the future of Sneijder, but frankly I do not have the answer," said Branca after defeated Inter Milan in the Champions Supercoppa Italiana in Beijing.
"There is no communication and negotiation. We have yet to establish communication with the team from Manchester."
"Sneijder is one of the best players at his position. This natural that the big European clubs are interested and normal thing anyway if we try to get the best from the transfer market," he said.
Yup. This transfer never made any sense either on a sporting or financial level.

Gees you talk some shit. On a footballing level, he offers a replacement/improvement for an aging Giggs and a vast improvement on our current midfielders. He's not a player that depends on physical attributes so will have a much longer career then most other midfielders unlike Gerrard, Essien etc.
On a financial point of you, you were crapping on about not breaking the 50% wage to turn over bullshit, and now that we've sold or had nearly 500k a week of player salaries wiped from the books. It means that we're not even close to matching last years salary to turn over ratio even with the wages of our 3 signings.
Neville 75k, Scholes 100k, VDS 100k, O'Shea 80k, Brown 75k and possibly Gibson 40k.
470k.
Smalling Hernandez pay rises. 430k
Young - 80k - De Gea - 40k - Jones 40k
Cleverly and Welbeck are probably on 20k a week each.
Its not a case of whether United can afford this player they can, and even pay his wages. Its just United have a wage structure in place which they are not going to break.
Wayne Rooney begs to differ.
Righto so giving 20 k a week rises to Smalling and Hernandez equals 500k?

So that leaves us with around 220k a week to even match last years numbers. Yes he is expensive and yes he will cost money, but he is also one of the best players in the world in his position. He's far from too expensive. Hell they went and spent 30 million on Berbatov 3 years ago and nobody blinked an eye.
If he was a striker or winger you could say it doesn't make sense, but he's not. He plays in a position that we desperately need to strengthen. Or are you happy with having another season of the likes of Villa, Bolton etc walking all over us away from home?
We don't need another ball winning midfielder. We have 4 of them. We need a midfielder who can rip a team to shreds with one pass, which is exactly what Scholes had.

I assume he sees Anderson as more of a ball winner than a creative midfielder. Which isn't a ridiculous idea, Anderson's best attributes are his pace, energy, shielding the ball and running with the ball. Creativity, however, is pretty far down the list in his case.
Yeah, I'm struggling with the fourth one, too, with Carrick and Fletcher being the two primary ball-winning midfielders in the squad.
May have already been done, I can never tell whats been reported with all the tweets going around. Anyway I fuly expect a I'm staying statement by the end of the week.Sneijder talks imminent
Inter to discuss player's future next week
Inter Milan coach Gian Piero Gasperini has confirmed the future of Wesley Sneijder should be decided next week.
The Dutch international playmaker has been heavily linked with a £35million move to Manchester United as they look to find a replacement for the retired Paul Scholes.
Red Devils chief executive David Gill had earlier stoked the fires of a potential deal by claiming United are looking to sign one more 'world-class' player ahead of the deadline.
The player himself and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson are more coy over a potential transfer, with Ferguson vehemently denying last week that a take-it-or-leave-it offer had been made to the 27-year-old.
Sneijder opened the scoring for the Serie A outfit in their 2-1 Italian Super Cup defeat to city rivals AC Milan in Beijing on Saturday and after the game Gasperini confirmed he would soon be holding discussions about the future of the former Ajax and Real Madrid player.
"As for the rumour of Sneijder leaving, we will talk about it next week," said the 53-year-old.
It has also been speculated that Manchester City are attempting to hijack United's move with a £30million-plus offer.
Park
Carrick, Fletcher, Park and Anderson 'how Ferguson has played him mostly'
You've pulled all these numbers from your arse to try and support your "theory". For example, O'Shea wasn't on 80K a week. That was a BS story by some journo.
In general, its amazing how many people will complain about the "scummy media" and then take a lot of their stories as gospel truth.
Park? Well, yeah, he certainly offers tenacity and tackling even on the wing or as an AM. But I wouldn't play him at the base of midfield. Ever. Not a good idea, as he demonstrated against Arsenal with one of the most ridiculous positioning errors of all time.
Inter director Marco Branca opened the door for Wesley Sneijder and Samuel Eto’o. “Inter won’t keep anyone who doesn’t want to be here.”
The two players have been repeatedly linked with Premier League moves to Manchester City or United.
On Saturday the Italian media even suggested a €36m deal with City for Sneijder had already been struck.
“Have City contacted us about Sneijder? Being one of the best players in the world, it’s clear there are going to be enquiries,” Branca told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“However, we have not yet worked out a price-tag. Wesley has Inter in his heart, so it seems that both he and Eto’o said they want to stay.
“After all, Inter won’t keep anyone who doesn’t want to be here, nor do we want to sell someone unless they are happy with the situation.”
