Wesley Sneijder

Course it might not be true. It might be completely made up. That's obvious. It's hilarious just watching everyone get into a big fuss over nothing. Last night we said goodbye to one of the clubs all time legends, and whilst he's playing his last 75 minutes in a United shirt, some fans would be at the ground or glued to their tv/monitor savouring it all. Wr8_United and Devilish were in this thread saying how Scholes reminded them of Sneijder. If after Paul Scholes scores a 20 yard screamer in his last match ever, and you're firs thought is to pop to the big thread on redcafe, you're a pretty shit fan in all honesty. That's why this thread is going to be hilarious whatever happens. Too many people care too much about players who might ever play for our great illustrious club.

Who are you to judge whether someone is a good fan or not? Like the majority of us those two posters are desperate for us to improve the one weak area of our squad. Signing a world class midfielder like Sneijder would improve us immensely.

You're 100% right. Our strategy has time and time again proven not to work. It's so annoying buying players like we do, and winning nothing, whilst Chelsea and Madrid run away with everything under the sun!

Calm down rambo. I'm merely commenting on the situation in the transfer market as it is when we're in for big name players. Prove your red power somewhere else pretty please?

Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

Yes because being unhappy at City potentially signing a world class player makes people shit muppet fans.

Come on some people do just find the transfer window entertaining. It's another part of footballs long addictions. It's not like testimonials are the most entertaining thing in the world.

Who am I? Someone who knows it's important to remember the past and thank the great players we have in out squad. I would 100% say for sure that the majority of Man United fans aren't "desperate" to improve our squad. If whilst Scholes' testimonial is on you're in the transfer forum comparing him to Sneijder you're simply not a good fan.

I'm a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime? You've just said that we can't compete with Madrid, Chelsea, City or Barce with out policy. We quite clearly have done, we quite clearly will do, and three of those clubs would kill for our record in the last 5 years.

cue mass suicide if sneijder sign for city, lots of sneijder fanboys here that want him to come will be devasted...

You've been quite active and always around, news or no news. Don't be in denial and act like this has nothing to do with you.
You're devastated and taking it out on your fellow muppets by moving into the twilight zone where you can block out reality/all the pain and act like you've never been part of this.

EDIT: And change your name! I was here first

I told you all not to panic.

Plus, I've spotted Spoony in this thread.

Cocks out lads, we cannot fail now.

A testimonial for one of your best ever players is 100% more important than some player whose never played for our team. I absolutely love signing a new player and watching them play, however it's the endless speculation and bullshit rumours which aren't entertaining at all. As evidenced by this thread they don't seem to be that entertaining if it backfires and he goes somewhere else. Every season we see the new Benzema/Ozil/Ballack go somewhere else, and every year people are disgusted by our transfer signings. Yet we always go out and prove them wrong.

I have said we can't compete with them on the transfer market for big names.

Are you five and need lessons in comprehensive reading or is your profession working for the daily mail? Quote me and don't make things up.

Eejit.

Agreed, or Banega or De Rossi. I feel these type of signings will help us get the best out of what we already have in midfield.

Completely agree with those two as well. My fear is that we may eventually sign Wesley and suddenly realise that the squad is unbalanced(the likes of Welbeck and Anderson are less likely to get games with him around) by his presence.

I hope this is all a smoke screen.

City are denying it as well according to Sky's Graeme Bailey.

Oh just fecking get it over with.

So it could be Inter behind the story, trying to hike up the price. One thing is for sure, Inter must sell in order to balance their books. and it will be either sneijder or eto that will have to go.
The other clubs and both sneijder and eto know this, so that s why they are prepared to wait. In the end Inter will be forced to accept the offers on the table.

No what you said was

It will lead to nothing with City, Chelsea, Madrid and Barca around.

Did you mean big names then or did you mean trophies?

Because if it's big names:

Who the feck cares. Big names have never been what's needed to win trophies.

And if it's trophies:

Who the feck cares who they sign. Signing all the players in the world hasn't exactly sent Chelsea and Madrid miles above us, even though our spending it very tame in comparism.

No one ruling out the possiblity that it could be sort of deal involving Tevez with Sneijder being forced to go there? Makes no sense Sneijder would go to City when we apparently offered more wages to him

And in true shit presser style, you choose to only quote one part of the full quote.

I've said "If we were seriously interested and this is true... then it just shows that all the value, hardman stance and other tactics to get a decent price are so out of date.

It will lead to nothing with City, Chelsea, Madrid and Barca around."

Of fecking course I was talking about the transfer market strategy. That red mist of red power makes you a drooling idiot. Man up or get some reading lessons.

You know that at some point most of the players who are in our squad now were playing for other teams? There were TRANSFERS involved because we had to SIGN them.

If you were in charge of United, we'd probably still line up with Cole and Yorke up front. Or even Hughes and Cantona.

They can't force him to go anywhere against his will, and if City are in for him they will certainly offer him more money than what we will.

But I'm not in charge of United am I. No-one here is. I'll support a player when he gets here, but the key is I don't get hyped up over a player whose never even played for our club. When he's signed a contract is when you get excited.

As much as both sides are denying it the De Gea deal was one where all parties denied it for a few weeks before it was all confirmed.

Though with that said in that case assorted reliable journos (Sid Lowe, Graham Hunter) said that it was done, and that hasn't happened here.

The prospect of

Aguero
Balotelli Sneijder Silva
Yaya DeJong
as a front 6 is a bit scary.

That quote can clearly be taken either way

So Sneij to United gets denied all week and it true but City gets denied and it's true?!

No it can not. People with a brain reading only the last part you quoted will think: "what will lead to nothing?".

The fecking transfer market strategy and long term posturing and bargaining I was talking about only a sentence earlier which you left out. In that context, it's also very obvious that nothing in this case means not fecking getting the result wanted with these negotiating tactics, ie, not getting the player.

Where the feck have I spoken about impending doom, sack Giggs, Sell Fergie, oh we're so not going to win trophies that you have deducted out of those two simple sentences?

Bob, is that you? It's alright, Fergie won't stay mad at you.

Denied by everyone now.
