Wesley Sneijder

This thread title should be changed to "Only God Knows" (aswell as lots of people on Twitter)

We have already miss out Ozil and Benzema last summer and before. This time don't want to miss out on Sneijder again.

According to Bluemoon's ITK who has got few things right in the past, there is an Aguero agreement and now they're going after Sneijder now.

Tolmie? He's there resident god, he bends over and they all have there tongues out in prayer.

He's got enough things wrong though. I saw a post of his claiming that we wouldn't be signing anyone, and that they would be getting Sanchez and Sniejder. 2/3 for him so far.

Me too. We need a midfielder but it's not him.

We only need a midfielder if we can sign a midfielder better than what we already have.

As I've said before, due to the Jones signing I doubt Sir Alex will buy unless he can get one of his top targets; Sneijder, Modric or Nasri.

Maybe Inter playing him as a CM yesterday is a sign that they mean to fit him in their team?

its getting less and less likely he come....inter don't wan to sell and fergie said he is not interested.

Yep that's the one. Also tbf he also claimed that Rooney was their player when the Rooney-gate happened.

Monkey and typewriter come to mind. Its a no brainer City will be going after big names, throw some shit around and it will eventually stick.

Whether or not we get Sneijder, we're gonna get overpowered by the might of Liverpool - its their year apparantly, so says Jamie "my balls havent dropped" Carragher & Stevie "is my missus still snortin free coke off a dealers cock" Gerrard.. Doomed i tell ye.... d-o-o-m-e-d...

Sky Bet: We've seen a fair amount of money for Wesley Sneijder to sign for Manchester City since the news about Carlos Tevez broke this morning. The Inter Milan man has gone from 12/1 to join City to 6/5 now, with rivals United going the other way from 1/5 to 8/13.

Don't like the sound of that. I know its bollocks but still makes me nervous.

No reason to be nervous. The transfer is just as unlikely to happen as it was this morning; people betting on City getting him hasn't changed that, only the odds.

Not exactly a like-for-like transfer though, is it? Nothing to worry about, I think.

Sneijder is better than what we have though, I'm confused.

I'm dying here.

ffs Gill! buy someone......now!

In the event of my not posting again for the next few days, please instruct detectives investigating missing persons to look for Mr C. Noid, last seen in green kermit outfit, delirious wandering the moors

Yeh, well there wouldn't be any news would there?

They're not allowed to tap phones any more, see?

Wouldn't be surprised if it was a bunch of bluemooners and there croonies. As i said, a lot of people on that forum think that Tolmies word is gospel. Think they even have a thread dedicated to him.

The alleged City interest was bound to happen. Apart from genuine interest in the player, they also will want to make sure that we are not stronger than last year - and this could be achieved if we do not manage to strenghten the midfield.

Daily Star: Simply The Best 7 Days A Week :: Football :: Wesley Sneijder: 'I'd only play in England for Manchester Utd'

It's all over lads...:(

Sounds like some old quotes recycled. Inter didn't win a treble last year.

edit: story is from Sept. 26, 2010.

Presumably the point was to counter the Sneijder to City rumours and indicate what his inclinations were with regards to playing in England.

i am bored of this saga, I will just assume we have pulled out of the chase for him.

Doesn't suit us, hence no better than what we have

Why does he not? Have you seen him play for United before? I certainly haven't so I don't know where people are grasping the idea he isn't suited for us - & it this isn't just yourself, but plenty of others too.

United fans are demanding a creative midfield, yet we get linked to one of the best creative midfielders around yet some still find holes to pick in it :annoyed:

Ugh - if you're going to photshop somebody with a Pinochio nose, you should at least have the decency to give it a largely solid underside, rather than a massive gaping nostril...

:nono:
