I know this has been pointed already, but where does SAF say we are not intersted? If anything he just said 'not at this moment in time' and he said ' I have not really been involved in it since I came across here'. Involved in what? I don't know but his comments leave room for a move to still happen.

Correct, all part of the game.

So is anything going to happen today? It's the last day of the week and i'm not sure i can get through this weekend without any Sneijder updates :(

I have to admit it is an inconclusive statement from Fergie, he could have totally ruled it out, but he sort of left the door open for a potential transfer before the deadline.

I think he is cooling the talk to take pressure off the transfer fee/wages. - I hope anyway.

I always look to see how many are viewing the transfer forum. I figure if its 1000+ then we've signed someone. Anywhere from 1-800 is about normal for this time of year
Muppets!

I am obssessed, checking the last page of this thread every 3 minutes. This is my life for the next month or until we sign him. Acceptance.

We're using reddit memes now?

Fergie has not "been involved in that since we came over here."

That's good enough for me. We'll get our Wesley back :)

Got this from a newbie:

For some reason I thought he might mean the US because it is still 4:20 am here. Well at least you lads have something to laugh about now!

Paddy Agnew (respected Italian journalist) is on TalkSPORT this hour to discuss Sneijder. #MUFC

So all of you'll can start listening.

which would say to me that he has looked at his internal options and feels that they aren't up to replacing Scholesy and needs to bring an established name in

He did go on to talk about the youth players and said that he'd give them an opportunity eventually. The problem is that there just isn't another Paul Scholes out there and that is why it is going to be difficult.

Talksport is no different to this thread.

You might aswell put someone like nimic on there as all it is is a journalist giving his interpretation of the quotes in a way that sounds like he is privy to some infomation.

"Well Ferguson has ruled out any move for Sneijder but I can confirm that he is just trying to smokescreen the press so the deal can go through smooth and queitly. He's interested in the player and was last summer but was put off by the price tag and with Scholes retiring he now see's it as a nessesary and he will not let the price tag be an issue." Negotitations started a fortnight ago and although there has been no offical bid, they are close to agreeing a price and the transfer will move on alot faster when this happens".

It's a fecking easy job they have.

Just switched talkSport on and this bloke seems sure it will happen

Agnew says he phoned top brass, who normally tell you whats happening, but didn't want to speak about it, suggesting something is happening and that Agnew himself feels 'United will get there man.'

Take it for what it's worth lads, not stonewall, but certainly not over.
