The difference with Rashford and Ronaldo is that one is in or approaching his prime years as a footballer and the other has come to the end of his top flight career. The fact that no one else wanted him after the interview was not because he did the interview but because no one else wanted him.Yeah but surely you don't believe that would've continued all year ? Look at Rashford early season vs after the WC. Form does go and return for most players. This is of course unrelated to the silliness that transpired in the lead up to and during the Morgan interview. At that point, most understand he had to go.
Rashford scored a damn sight more than Ronaldo before the World Cup. Yes he kicked on afterwards but still scored some big goals in the period leading up to the World Cup, including 2 against Arsenal and 1 against Liverpool.
