We are an awfully coached team

Where does this needs to win silverware this year to keep his job come from, nope just needs to secure that champions league money and those yankee leeches will be rejoicing in their vast Florida mansions as always

I remember when we appointed Ole I thought to myself it could be a real pointed bit of shithousery from the Glazers. Garnering support for the club through a club legend everyone loves even if we aren’t really competing at the top.

Not an indictment on OGS but just a possible vile thought process from the capitalist pigs who are pilfering our great club. At the very least it was an appointment that pretty much couldn’t go wrong for those cnuts whichever way it went.

1. Let's just say our definition of attacking football is very different. Or make it simpler, ask opposition fans' general consensus whether man utd is an entertaining attacking team and you will get your answer.

2. Win something? Man Utd should aims for the league and CL. Anyway, hope u are right on this.

3. Go read more and you will find it in the forum.

4. Only Ole has 3 years and hundreds of millions for rebuild.

5. Can't believe u really put down SAF in order to make your point on Ole. SAF won MAJOR titles doing that.

6. On the rise with 2 TOP 4 finish and zombie outdated football? If this is the standard then no point replacing Ole with better manager.

7. Top Red

1. Depends on when and who you ask. Ask Spurs or Arsenal fans and the answer may be more positive than you’d think :wenger:

5. I wish people would stop using SAF as a sort of benchmark for Ole in terms of tactics and general performances. SAF’s time was a decade ago. What worked for SAF at the time may not work today. You can bet that SAF would also have evolved further if he were still managing today.

Apparently, it's clear to everyone except a select portion of United fans that the coaching at Manchester United is not up to scratch. I mean neutral and rival fans, who have no agenda and in some cases would rather keep the current coaching structure in place at our detriment can see it. You're not gonna find a single rival fan that wants Ole out, for example.

And yet you're seen to be moaning or an awful supporter if you point that out. Feck me. When people used to say our club is different, I thought it was just pretentious "mes que en club" bullshit but now I finally see it. We truly have some "amazing" supporters who will bury their head in the sand and just about accept anything. I don't think there's a club out there where the support would be so divided with such mediocre results. Nearly £500m spent and 3 years under Ole's reign and the "achievements" are we finished third and second in the league, conveniently forgetting all the numerous setbacks and failures on the way. Building a good squad is now the standard for being Manchester United manager apparently, never mind winning trophies.

Pretty much my view on it, very well put. There are certain aspects he's done brilliantly in - really has got the squad to a much better level, dealt with a lot of the Pogba circus etc. very well. Reduced the age of the team and brought through some very good young talents etc. but those should all be a means to win major trophies - which is essentially what a Manchester United manager should always be judged on. That's where he is falling short. The aforementioned aspects aren't enough alone to keep him in a job.

At the moment, as has been the case for the majority of his time here - I am not seeing football of the required standard which I think will be enough to get us over the line and I'm still seeing very poor, reactive or late in game management which is costing us results.

Also the fact that we've spent so much money and are now years into our time with Ole and still play such a pragmatic/counter attacking style is quite frustrating. This team is more than capable of going head to head with the best teams, instead we still get played off the park at times by inferior teams.

Deck me sideways. I didn't know OGS is a mod on this forum. Awwww...did words of random internet people hurt you bubbala? There there.

Even big tech is Ole in. It's all a conspiracy. Soon we will have breakaway forums and other alternative platforms where people can voice their free speech uninterrupted.

It was that or resorting to quality control warnings. Either or :)

I’ll take your word for it that the intention is humour, but using modmin powers to anonymously take sides in the debate is inappropriate. If you need to then issue quality control warnings to specific posts that deserve them. That’s more transparent and depending on how strict your criteria is, there should be posts on both sides deserving of it. Some posts are over the top moaning and some are over the top cheerleading. I trust that the criteria isn’t biased in favour of one side or other.

United should not be wasting this season too just to let Ole prove himself and then be happy with a top 4 finish. With the squad this good and with so much depth we need to be challenging for the PL and CL titles. And under Ole we simply can not.

It isn't taking sides. It is taking the piss out of the ludicrously OTT and dramatic moaning about Ole. We can take a more proactive approach but so many posters in this an similar threads would get quality control warnings we would need to expand the modmin team to cope.

can you give me some examples of over the top cheerleading please. Let’s alert the mods to it so they can change those thread titles!

@Wibble can we actually expand the Modmin team then? Yesterday we had posts calling Solskjaer a pussy and saying he should resign if he had any honour. is it worth reporting these posts?

That's the problem.

You don't know that, we don't know that. It's all speculation.

So why don't we see together this season and decide whether to sack him later?

The very worst are worth reporting.

Can we change titles of the Lindelof and Pogba threads too? They are full of irritating moaners too.

There is a simple solution. If it's moaners, let them moan . Just stay out of it. No one is forcing you to post in the thread. A thread doesn't get to 100 pages just because of moaning.

No. And many of you won't like the alternative. The modmin team have had an utter gutful of the emotive and irrational negativity on here. And no that doesn't you can't criticise something e.g. we really need a top class DM, but so many posters seem to be channelling this bloke at a time that Ole has made 3 top class signings and United are top of the Premier League.

So let me get this right- so someone didn't like the posts and instead of debating on the merit of the posts , they thought the best idea is to edit the title as you like and call it as "quality control " ?

That's some gem !!

Hope to see the same quality control in Lingard, DVB, Pogba ,Martial, Fred, Matic, Lindelof threads as well !

You seem to be missing the point even though it is quite obvious. This is a bit of friendly piss take that hopefully the drama merchants in this thread take note of and reign it in a bit. If not then this and other threads won't get the same treatment but we will start giving warnings to many poor and overly negative posters in all threads as per the rules.

Fantastic. Cheers for this @Wibble

What do you mean a thread can’t get to a 100 pages without moaning? Of course it can

Meanwhile, you'll continue to encourage the bullying behaviour from the likes of Wummy ? Because the 'drama merchants' on the cafe are only the negative nancies and those weirdos need humiliated and given warnings for 'quality control' if the basic e-humiliation doesn't do the trick?

It contributes to the sites toxicity and is unbecoming, and exactly what you'd expect on the likes of RAWK.

Bullying behaviour?

What on Earth do you mean?

What game was that at and why the response from Jose?
Is it Eddie Howe?

Can’t remember the game but basically Tottenham were playing a team and won a foul. The person who fouled the Tottenham player was on a yellow card and the AM reminded Jose of this.
