WC Snooker 2013

So Milkins has choked but Robertson's form will need to change dramatically if he's to capitalise on it.

Deserved victory for Milkins, but helped in spades by Robertson. Truly awful performance, there's just no consistency in snooker these days. Makes it interesting though.

So does he.

Shame really, but he's made too many mistakes and it's gonna cost him.

Him getting the audience up on his way out of the arena was excellent. Like Bubba Watson at the Ryder Cup. Snooker needs more players like him. Are they really that hard to find?

The Poom-meister is out, shame. Judd Trump is on fire at the moment, but I feel when it comes down to the crunch best of 33's his exuberant style will cost him unless he reigns it in.

The winner of Murphy and Dott is lined up to play Trump in the QF's, I think both would be far too wily and experienced for Trump and would take him out. Would love Murphy to win it again, he's a superb cueist and great to watch, seems like a good bloke too.

I haven't got a clue how this Murphy/Dott match is going to end. They keep taking turns to be the player of the tournament so far.

Christ what an epic frame, almost an hour. Murphy wins on the respotted black. Some outstanding safety play from both players. 11-10. Let's see how Dott responds now.

Selby losing 10-12 now, 1 away from defeat. The lack of consistency in snooker is downright shocking.

There's not much Selby can't come back from, but even he's not coming back from this.

We're suffering for all those early exists now. Bingham/Davis and Walden/Milkins are not setting my Sunday evening alight.

Yeah, last nights televised matches were just dreadful. A poor advertisement for the sport and one in the eye for those arguing that the top 16 should have to qualify for every tournament like all the other plebs. If anything is going to kill the sport it's having the top draws out before the televised stages.

The Rocket v Carter on now.

As well as being an amazing break builder people don't talk about O'Sullivan's safety game because of his general wizardry on the table, but I honestly think he's got the best safety game out of everyone too.

Ronnie through 13-8. That last frame there was an example of his absolute brilliance.

It's good but it's not as good as prime Higgins or Ebdon.

Higgins has always been unbelievably astute while Ebdon, painful to watch at times is incredibly tight and well thought out which is how he got to where he did.
