You do realise than both Mkhitaryan and Rashford actually play for United? feck knows where Messi comes into this.

Really, didn't notice that, thanks. Since we're in ifs territory (IF Mkhitaryan played, if Rashford played) why just stop there, what if Messi played for United, imagine him infulencing matches.

53 passes (including 26 forward passes) with 90% accuracy. And a goal.
Here buddy thank you for posting that, I was about to look because he rarely gave the ball away and was getting slated on here

The goal will allow his fanboys and cronies in the media to mask the fact he was dogshite yet again.

Wasn't bad but there are faults in his game that are persistent. My biggest gripe with him in this position is how slow he is to turn with the ball. Mata is overall the better pick for the position going forward.

Standard Rooney perfomance. A well taken poacher's goal to mask what was an absolutely woeful display, which also included a clear dive.

@GifLord Can you make a gif of Rooney's outside of the boot pass straight to a Bournemouth player?

His post match interview has annoyed me about 40x more than his performance. Complacent little cnut.

So saying we'd have been better off with someone else from the squad in his place is the same as saying we should sign Messi.

Yea, ok.

I think the point is it's slightly disingenuous to say at 2 or 3 nil up and with Rooney having scored, we'd be better off with someone else on.

I'd like to see Mkhiki in the team and think Mourinho is just being careful with him, but I wouldn't immediately expect a player new to the league to make us better than we were today.

His slowness in general is a massive problem, and it seems to be getting worse. He's just utterly incapable of being incisive or useful when he's put under any sort of pressure. He regularly lost the ball today, or did something silly with it whenever Bournemouth closed him down successfully.

It's not new either...it was there last season. Even when he hit a bit of form and was looking decent, he was incapable of taking players on one on one and was out of ideas when it came to beating his man. It's a massive problem for someone who's role is often dependent on being quick and sharp if he's meant to be linking attack and defence.

What does that even mean?

You are trying to mask it that he had another terrible game where he looked like he was drunk again?

Bigger issue is the midfield... How the F is Fellaini starting for the third straight Man Utd manager? He's crap. Herrera is crap too. All they do is hoof it.

Rooney was ok today. Scored so it makes things ok. Control is still shaky and makes bad passing decisions too surprisingly. I'm thinking the later is fixable. The control worries me though.

Rubbish. A goal doesn't 'make things ok', particularly given the manner in which he scored. Fellaini on the other hand made a real claim for his stake in the team. Broke up their play and was obviously dominant in the air. If he had Pogba next to him rather than Herrera we'd be hard to beat.

He also seems to have lost some power in his shots. Feels like he puts the ball straight at the keeper too much without little power. Can't remember him doing it much when he was younger when he had his explosiveness.

People are actually sad he scored?

we don't half have some sh!t fans

Mata did an even sillier dive, just went over for absolutely no reason on the touchline, yet the same bringing in Rooney's perceived dive won't give that a second of thought.

Saying all this, he doesn't half stink the attack up. I can see Ibra thinking who is this guy.

Fellaini was one of our best players today...

He should had three goals today...but he is lazy and couldnt be arsed to try....Zlatan gave two or three through balls that he should of fnished

Mata's dive wasn't anything like Rooney's who had an excellent opportunity to score if he had stayed on his feet.

Was hoping he would say that he has something to prove. Always better to admit it.

and then he plays one of the worst passes of the season to start another counter attack

Yeah that was fecking epic, if someone plays as much as he does, then they'll eventually get a goal, doesn't mask the rest of the shite such as that pass.

You're wasting your time bud, he scored therefore his fanboys will see a motm performance.

Good interview with Zlatan and Freddie Starr.

He'll always get a goal here and there; most players would if they played in his position. It doesn't mask the overall poor performances and the fact he looks physically spent and lacking in many of the basics.

But all it takes for Mkhitaryan to come on for Rooney is a sub. Stop embarrassing yourself by making out wanting to play Messi is even remotely similar.

one of the differences between Cafe and match going fans is that those lucky enough to go to stadium don't give him any shit.

crossed my mind aswell. Not quite what he was expecting

Was it really a dive? He should be stronger but while running, even minor touch can make you off balanced.

I'm afraid that's opinion. Rooney probably got a light tough, whereas the guy near Mata was a few feet away. At first glance you "presumed" he must have been fouled, but on a replay, the guy was miles away. Amazing dive.
