Sunday Supplement seem to think he's off.
In any case, I've been saying for months that this is his last season with us. More and more convinced with every passing week.

I'm not sure. He's still keen to go the World Cup next year and not sure that will be possible if he's playing in China
 
So when the pace is slow, he doesn't have the touch or ability to speeden it up. Conversely, when the game is fast, he doesn't have the touch or ability to keep up with it. Awful.

No.9 might just be his worst position now.
 
I think it's only when/if he leaves we'll realise just how off the pace he is. Like when Park and Ferdinand moved.

Dire against poor opposition. Unless he's going to bang in a free kick every other game (he won't), he's finished here.

Played the ball to Basti for the first.

Took the corner for the second.

Laid it off to Mkhi for the third.

Took the corner for the 4th.

So all of them.

Yeah, I am pretty sure Romero played his part in some goals like that too. He did take decent corner for the fourth though.
 
Sure says a lot that Schweinsteiger who hadn't played football in about 3 months looks far better than what Rooney did today.

Ah well, the counter attack doesn't happen with that layoff, and he shifted it out quickly to Basti.

Smallings is probably a stretch.

He was shite enough though :lol:
 
Don't actually think he played badly. By his standards, that was an average performance.

Well I wasn't really asking literally what he did before the goals, I watched the game, I asked what praise worthy he did for the goals, and it's basically nothing except the decent corner for the fourth.
 
He wasn't awful today, as some are saying. Just average, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't understand how can anyone rate his performance other than pointless today. It's simply shocking that he steals minutes from other players. He broke the record, now please leave..
 
He has a moment here and there like a flickering light bulb, where you see a glimpse of the player he was, like the lay-off to Mhki or the piece of skill where he dummied the defender and got past him for a cross on his right, but overall he is so poor these days, slow, lacking in mobility and when stuck at #9 it exposes his erratic touch.
