Congrats.Shame he didnt get to celebrate it the way he should have. A great goal to reach a great landmark.

Belter of a goal , 2/10 performance though. We can now safely move him to MLS in the coming season.

Congratulations! Well deserved!

Won't let it mask an otherwise abysmal performance though.

Shame it was to draw the game, but what a fecking way to beat the record.

Wayne Rooney - legend!

That draw was vital, that goal was very crucial. Point gained, if City lose .. then we are point closer to them and Liverpool.

I hope everyone, even the anti Rooney's, can at least post a nice message on a separate thread for him. He deserves this.

United legend and one of our best ever players.

Rooney of later years. Poor performances but then suddenly a goal. Maybe now Mourinho can play him less.

Congrats to Rooney, got to give it to him.

Love him or hate him you don't become both England and Manchester United captain AND leading goalscorer by accident.

Imagine that sentence for ANY other footballer amongst fans captain AND leading goalscorer for club AND country..... absolute legend.

Belting goal, so I'll not talk about how shite he was prior.

I am pretty sure that goal saved him lot of criticism, I doubt we would see him for few weeks if the game continued few minutes earlier since it was another pointless cameo.

But great goal, glad he's scored it and gave us one point, and finished the whole drama about the record!

Definitely. Just mean it would have meant more for Wayne, and obviously the club if the goal was to win the game.

Very important point as you said, though.

Fantastic goal. My MotM, as that goal is all by himself.

Congratulation to United all-time goalscorer.

That's how you break a record. Great goal. Not sure how significant it will be though. Top four just feels elusive to me. We're on a constant tightrope due to the bad start.

Has his moments, an assist here a goal there, but his overall play is shit.

Either sign a contract that is accurate for a bench player or move on.

It's why Jose puts him in as a sub, despite not being able to drive like he used to, he makes things happen.
Ideally he wouldn't be needed to come on but ideally we would of taken our chances.
Well done to Roo, well deserved, a fantastic achievement that might never be beat

I thought he was crap but it was a great goal. I'm glad the record was broken via a meaningful goal that was also spectacular rather than against some pub team off his knee.

Not on a wum, but his hair actually looks somewhat decent now and he looks like he's lost a lot of weight. Maybe he's taking new medication or has a new doctor now? Not implying anything else :wenger:

Does anyone else get the feeling Sir Bob isn't his biggest fan? There's always a lot of weird body language between them and he didn't exactly seem chuffed when Rooney matched his record.

I hope that isn't an injured leg in the background.

It seems to me sir Bobby is always like that. :)
