It's easy to understand why the club made absolutely sure that he wasn't leaving. Just be greatful that we have a good number of real football men in high places.
This struck me as strange too. Only explanation could be he is as pissed off as we are that we were 2 nil down after 15 minutes. Second half needs to bear fruit now.

Regrettably, I was one of those fed up with Rooney's antics over the summer, but feck me, am I glad our lads at the top stood firm. I imagine Moyes was one of those most steadfast, too.

Agree with this. What we see from Rooney are moments of magic. Inspirational bits that show his talent but don´t run consistently through games. If we think back to some of Rooney´s more commanding performances e.g. Man Utd vs Ac Milan (H) 2010 this certainly won't go down as one of them. Yet, he still has more than enough in the tank that when a switch is flipped in his head all of a sudden, albeit in short bursts, he becomes unstoppable.
Great goal, good commitment leading to Hull's own goal. But what was with Moyes talking to him on the touchline near the end saying "swap with Danny" ? Was he complaining about playing a CM role again for the last 12 mins next to Carrick and Cleverley?

Yes. People may question us catering to his demands but i'd say it's essential we do so. Imagine where we'd be without him?
I'm just happy that we've got Fletcher and Carrick back. Dropping him into midfield should only be a last resort. We clearly need him operating as close to goal as possible. He's always among the most likely to score or assist for us.

I am surprised he lasted the full 90 minutes. Fully expected the ref to show him his second yellow for dissent in injury time.
