One of our own players sustaining a nasty injury in training might have given away the tactics Moyes intends to use this afternoon...

Moyes says he has a cut down the middle of his forehead and he'll be out for a few weeks, so out of the England games. Hopefully he can get some minutes vs Palace and ready for the Derby a week later.

He'll end up with a massive red scar on his forehead now from the sounds of it.

He really does have a bad time of it when it comes to the looks department.

What the hell kind of head injury will keep him out for 3 weeks??

Will have a Alan Hansen type scar by the sounds of that.

Jones is a menace at injuring himself and others around him. Rooney must of been pissed at him after!

Indeed, every single game without fail he always ends up doing something weird, and getting hurt. Swansea he tried to head a ball literally 1 foot off the ground.

Probably worried about his stitches opening up, think he will be out for Palace and UCL game but should be back for derby day.

After today's shambles I'd love to hear from him about what really went on this summer. So happy he's here though.

Just came to post the same thing.

#ThingsThatAngerandConfuseWayneRooney; Manchester United behaving like a drunk trader.

Better not question our ambition in the market after this window!

Already bumped back to the second page! Lots of you should be eating crow right now. I'm not even talking to those who hate Rooney, I'm talking to those who thought it was a sure thing that United would sell to a title rival!

You guys were fecking stupid the whole time and don't really know the club you support that well.

feck off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wood pigeon i can do but crows tend to spend their time in trees rather than on a plate in my experience.

Point of fact though, i cannot recall anyone saying that a transfer to Chelsea would be a "sure thing".

At least he is back to posting about United on his Facebook (or someone is for him). Maybe it's just me but, to me that's a sign for whatever his feelings were - he is now back to being focused on United and doing everything he can to be a winner with us - which we are going to need.

Glad he is staying.
