Yeah it's definitely a weird comment. Templates and catalogues ffs. If all the players girlfriends/wives looked like Ashley Youngs, would you have made the same comment about the pretty girl who was the exception?
Absolutely, it just amuses me that you can go to any club in England virtually and find the wives and girlfriends of the players all have pretty much the same look bar one or two. That would be the same if they all looked like Ashley Youngs Mrs. You don't find it in other industries, all Bus drivers wives don't look very alike, all programmers wives don't look very alike, yet footballers do. Its almost like rather than actually pick someone they like, they look for what they are expected to have. Its actually one area where I admire Rooney, ignoring his extra marital affairs he has married his childhood sweetheart who, despite his actions Im sure he loves.
I agree with Sparky_Hughes. Basically, all page 3 kinds look alike and the WAGs of footballers are already or generally end up/aspire to be a page 3 person and hence look alike.

We all have eyes. You seem to like putting women dressing for the same occasion into one category's type on the looks front. It's strange.
So pick out four women out of those and tell me what's similar about them. Please note that being a woman or having the same hair colors doesn't count as similar in this case.

There's no page 3 type ffs. Apart from the fact that they tend to include hot women who attend similar social gatherings and hence follow similar etiquette, they are different people who look different. It's the environment and surroundings that fools you into seeing them as similar. You probably think that all cab drivers look alike too.

I like originality and differences, and whenever that is lacking it just seems strange to me.

Both could be telling the truth, he could have said two different things to them.
Look alike doesn't mean that length of hair or shape of eyes, ears is same. The point is much deeper than that. The behaviour, mannerisms etc are so alike for them that they often look alike and it is difficult to mentally distinguish 2 such WAGs unless you have seen them for long enough. For me, the irritating thing is these mannerisms are just a 'show' and often look artificial.
Anyway, no point going further on this point in 'Wayne Rooney' thread.

And what's to say Young's birds isn't exactly the same as the others, except fatter? Unless by behavior and mannerisms you're actually just talking about their looks, given it's a still image and we know nothing about any of their behavior or mannerisms.

so you know the mannerisms/behaviour of footballers wives and girlfriends eh? Good one.To be fair. They do all look like characters from Footballer's Wives...and not one of them is wearing anything remotely colourful, suggesting conclusively that none of them have a soul.
Yes it is about the image which is portrayed and which is public, beyond just looks. We are not going into details of what kind of people they all are, whether they are same or different, it is the image which is put out by them in public and which is so similar that they end up looking similar.
