Was he in the stands at least today? Did not catch but last 35 min or so
It's a bit cnutish to those lads he's training with.
Neil Ashton should be embarrassed about his coverage of the Rooney issue. He's clearly being briefed by Chelsea and is writing stories to curry favour with them. What ever happened to just reporting the actual news that happened, rather than being more P.R. man than journalist?

Ashton: O Rooneo, Rooneo! wherefore art thou Rooneo?
Mail on Sunday
By Neil Ashton
11th August 2013
It's not just him. Rob Beaseley of The Sun, who is a massive Chelsea fan has also behaved like a cnut. So has Richard Keys for that matter.
So the Sun, the Mail and Talksport are terrible? Who would have ever thought it.
I honestly don't know why you people even bother with them. Time and time again links get posted to these shite-peddlers.
Wannabe footballers
You forgot the Mirror group and Fivelive's Monday Night Club.
Right, I asked my mate about the bin story and this is what I got, paraphrased.
Supposedly, some guys at Chelsea TV who think Ashton is a right idiot fed him this line on Twitter that Loic Remy was having a medical on deadline day at their training ground in Cobham and suggested he go down there at around 10pm and he'd see it for himself and he'd have an exclusive. Needless to say, he turned up and wondered around a bit before security asked him to leave given that it was shut and no-one was there. Ashton was desperate for the story so apparently he just wondered out and then sneaked back in and hid in a bin until the security checked the CCTV and realised he was in there, at which point he was forcibly removed from the premises.
Here's Neil Ashton tacitly agreeing with Fergie that Rooney could get more from his talent, one year ago. What changed, Neil?

Unless, of course, he just made up a load of old shit. They played keep-ball to begin with and Rooney, who has one of the best first touches in world football, was barely interested. He paid the penalty for losing possession more times than any other player, regularly sent into the middle of the circle to chase down the ball and make the interception. It was pitiful.
They went on to work on technique, but Rooney was hardly ticking over as he contemplates handing in an official transfer request. The stand-off is causing divisions at United.
Ashton is being absolutely ripped apart on twitter. How's that Rio piggybacking Rooney business going, Neil?
Lying tosser.
On Rooney:
I wonder did Neil Ashton write that with a straight face?'One of the best first touches in world football'
If Rooney is allowed to leave Moyes will have pretty much ruined his chance to make it here in my opinion.

Beyond the fantasy world that big-time football has become, Rooney can hardly be seen as a victim. He has created Wayne’s World, no one else. If he is at all wise he will start work on a new one, a real one, while there is a little time left.
over the top??
Rooney wants to leave what do you expect moyes to do then?

I actually think the opposite to an extent.
If the club are the ones who comedown and bow to Rooney's demands (a new contract? a public statement stating he didnt request a transfer? an apology? etc etc) that will set a very dangerous precedent and make look Moyes look weak. If we feck him off for a big fee, or let him rot then I think that'll set the tone perfectly.
Thats fair enough but look at that production lost from the team. The goals and assists and his work rate. Its okay taking the high ground but that will affect the teams performance. I am not a fan of Rooney or his behavior but you cannot sell your best players to one of your immediate title rivals and not expect it to damage you. Moyes has had a lackluster start to his career with mixed results and inactivity in the transfer market. He doesnt need losing a player like Rooneys calibre especially if it seems we are not in a position to buy big in the market.
Seriously, it is unbelievable how someone is payed actual money for something like that.

Independent: To cast Wayne Rooney as a victim is to insult the real professionals

I do agree with that sentiment. But if we could get big money for him, lets say £50 odd million, even if it was from Chelsea, would that not be acceptable? For a player that has questionable attitude and fitness, who in all likelihood wont flourish once he hits the wrong side of 30, and who already looks a shadow of his former self?....Whether we could get that sort of money for him is a different question, I guess.
Looks like Arsenal are interested again. Would make sense if Liverpool arent going to play ball over Suarez.
Would be funny (in an annoying way) if you didn't sell to us because you didn't want to strengthen a rival but then sold to Arsenal.

Roy Hodgson on talksport "At the moment the situation with Wayne is delicate because there is a dispute going on"
