We all know where all the good Man United forwards end up. How much time has Rooney left on his contract? Just curious.

Honestly, this is the one time where selling him to Madrid would be great tbh. Anyone except another team in the PL.

Get the best possible price for him, and let him go. Do not want this headache, when we are going to need to adjust to a new manager as well.

Wouldnt much care if he went to another premier league team. Prefer our rivals had him and all the nonsense that has come with him, rather than Falcao or something

Massive revisionism going on regarding his last season. He clearly couldn't be arsed most of that year.

Indeed. And it something the irked fans. But I don't know...Rooney? Maybe I'm just in love with his piercing blue eyes.

PSG is the obvious one with Zlatan having months of being rumoured to leave there this summer.

Can't make Rooney out , hes on course to break our all time scoring record, those sorts of things are all thats left, hes won every other trophy going barring the FA Cup , and he cant do that by starting again now.

I dont get the 'back him/not back him' stuff, he'll either be in the shirt in which case I'll be itching for him to score and play well, or he wont be, in which case I'll be grateful for some glorious memories along the way.

He isnt a local lad born and bred united, hes a blue scouse whos employed by the club, expecting anything more than a professional relationship is folly. That goes for all of them.

Besides, there's a statue outside Old Trafford of a man who did far worse to the club that hand in two transfer requests, he went missing twice when he should have been actually playing matches , to spend time with an actress and a model. george Best is a hero because of how good a player he was, other stuff doesnt matter in the long run.

feck that guys, we don't want him going anywhere in this country.

What we need is for him to be shipped out abroad, then get benched due to being a complete flop. That'll do!

I'd love for us to sign him. It's Wayne frigging Rooney!

That being said, going all the way back to Robert Fleck I can remember nothing but flops when it comes to big money forwards (Drog excepted).

I wonder what odds on colleen having a revenge shag with terry?

Yes, I've got his posters on my wall. I'm in love with him.

Are you happy now?

I just find your reaction ironic, considering how you would have mocked the so-called Ronaldo fanbois if they reacted the same way when we sold Ronaldo.

You're cut from the same cloth. It's cute.

Would he really move clubs for an extra 25%? I dunno. Hard for us mere motrals to comprehend the sort of figures these gimps earn.

I find it impossible to believe that anyone would join a specific club to earn say 25% more. Whether you are playing for United, City, Chelsea Arsenal or any trophy winning club you are going to be earning enough to set you up for life in about 15 months so surely they would join the club they actually want to join, like Persie, Hazard, etc.

I reckon he will move abroad.

Once again: twice in 3 years. He can do one.

This is a player who in 2010 handed in a transfer request claiming it was because the club didn't "match his ambition". Two days later he signed an improved contract.

2013, our (ambitious) club wins the league. An out of form Rooney can't nail down a place in the first team and wants out.

Which is it to be Wayne? Or is it contract talks you're after?

Thanks for the memories, but its time to go.

Hazard

I know you want him gone but Chelsea?! You might think he's shit, but he's clearly not and he'd show that Chelsea.

He might, but he isnt the best striker Chelsea could buy. Whats more important, United's squad being successful or not seeing Wayne Rooney play for Chelsea?

When was the last time United weakened themselves and strengthened a rival like Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs have been doing for the past few years?

Is it just Tevez?

Err, mate, players move for more money all the time.

This, I would pick Lewandowski or Falcao over Rooney for sure, but obviously it would be a case of weakening a rival too.
Im just not sure its the right move for either us or Rooney.

Well that depends. If he can regain his form (and I see no reason why he cannot) he's a better all round player than Falcao

I'm starting to reconsider whether it was Rooney's camp that leaked the news. May be he really tried to do all this behind closed doors and SAF once again forced him into a corner by making it public?
