Artist's impression of Rooney in a Chelsea shirt.
This has already been covered. He did that a long time ago. Cleverley also just has "nike athlete" in his bio.
We're only three years in, admittedly, but I'm still tipping this for non-sequitur of the decade.
He's got dropped once 18 months ago because he went for a meal (Jonny Evans also out with him), if I remember right it was 2 nights before a match... And you talk like he's getting pissed every week, you're blatantly exaggerating, if not completely lying. What pisses me off is when someone questions the club's ambition to win things, and then go and get pissed before a training session or can't even be arsed to keep themselves in proper shape.
If Rooney had the dedication to go with this ambition he apparently craves, he'd be a much, much better player than he currently is. He's still very good, but every single fecking year there's issues with fitness, indiscipline, lifestyle which affect his ability to perform on the pitch. He's a bit of a moron.
I got bored with it when he kicked up a fuss the first time. He'd be a difficult player to replace in terms of ability, but there's plenty out there and already at the club who are more dedicated to themselves and the team as a professional.
If he goes I'd not really be that gutted. As it is I do kind of worry what younger players take from having him as a point of influence. Drink, smoke, be greedy, don't learn from mistakes, don't worry about keeping yourself fit when you're not playing...great example.
The club are in a precarious situation with our manager of 26 years retiring. The media are taking advantage and fans are in here lashing out at fat, selfish, unfit, easily replaced, not good enough Rooney who might not have done any of what's reported yet the fans are turning on him.
And people question why he'd want to leaveRooney leaked the Fergie story as well now? Well he really knows how to go out with a bang.

Fitness issues again... Are you on one of our coaching staff or physios or something because I've not seen anyone from the club inform us of Rooney's poor conditioning, so I can only assume you're one of the hysterical bellends who sees Rooney return to pre season and goes "OMG HE'S SO FAT".
He's scored in our opening game of the season for 2 out of the last 4 years and continued that run as well. So much for him always returning horribly out of shape and taking ages to get up to speed.

Trying to interpret a player's desire to move because of a change to his Twitter profile might be the most depressing new age football bullshit I've heard in a while.

So Wayne Rooney could be persuaded to stay at United but only if he receives sufficient love and assurances of his place in the team going forward under the new manager.
Meanwhile Stiliyan Petrov retires due to his battle with Leukaemia...
It's good enough for me. BTW, I've noticed that Cleverley always looks like he's scowling - this means he thinks that SAF is an old fogey and is plotting to assassinate him.

Do we even know anything for certain yet, or are people still just going off the papers when deciding to crucify him?
.
Rooney and indiscipline is hardly a one off, that was the point. He's missed games because he's elbowed people, kicked people, clapped at a referee's face, said "feck off" repeatedly, thrown a football at a referee, because he turned up for training hungover, because he wanted to leave the club, because he's not got himself fit, because he was sulking too much about getting sent off for England...You could pretty much write a fecking book on how not to behave at Manchester United, based on what he's done.
Maybe he questioned Sir Alex's own ambitions, which led to SAF making the decision to retire?
The same can be said about RvP at Arsenal last season meanwhile his mate Muamba was retiring due to a cardiac arrest.
People need to stop making pathetic posts like this ffs.

Spoilt fatty demands transfer from a club who pay him 200k-a week.
Meanwhile, pork is found in Halal lamb burgers.
Yes, he talked about one summer 6 years ago where he returned and he was a few pounds more than when he left, to talk as if there's a serial fitness and dedication problem is speculation at best.He actually announced that himself. You'd think he'd want to do something about it wouldn't you? As you say with your stat, he's started those seasons well, so obviously he has done something about it. But by Jesus that Everton performance was disgraceful. Absence of effort and interest, and I'm not buying that it's because it's Everton. He got dropped the week after. How often has that happened? Kagawa came in and was excellent.
We could do the same for so many of our players. Scholes shouts feck off repeatedly, he threw a punch at someone on the field and got sent off, puts in horrendous challenge after horrendous challenge that see him pick up red cards year after year, he refused to play in a reserve/league cup game Fergie picked him for, he stormed off and went home instead.I never said he did it every week. You've decided to say I said something I didn't and then accuse me of being a liar for saying it?
This happens a lot on here for some reason.

There's probably on average two or three seperate incidents a year where he has to miss games because of his own feckwittery either on or off the pitch. That's pretty poor, and it's bordering on unacceptable for one of the highest paid professional athletes in the world.
He isn't paid thousands a week to not get the best out of himself.
Except for when Rooney himself admitted that he wasn't in nearly good enough shape and needed to get himself fitter, you mean?
I believe Ferguson also said the same thing, in a press conference.
Maybe they are both hysterical bellends too?
Jesus how was he meant to know swearing on a football pitch (after just completing a hatrick to put us 3-2 up in the title run in) was going to get him banned? It was a joke of a decision from the FA, which was echoed on here at the time.Rewind to the West Ham game, had he not compulsively sworn into the camera, perhaps we wouldn't have lost our best player for our "future" Fa Cup Semi Final with city.
Tom Cleverley also has NikeUK Athlete in his Twitter bio
People have been saying something was not quite right with his demeanor on the pitch for a while, so a transfer request is not surprising. The truth is that he has always thought he was indispensable but this season he has found out he is not. He is just one of a squad and he doesn't like it.
He can go to Chelsea or City if he wants and he will find himself in exactly the same situation, competing with other excellent players for a place every week.
The trouble with Rooney is that he is thick and has bad advisors. He just hasn't thought it through. The only way he can be No.1 on the team sheet every week is to go to a smaller Club and that of course would mean a huge cut in wages.
Whatever happens, he will never be a United legend now.
