I have been told from someone who's brother is friends with Gerrard that Rooney is off in the summer and Bayern is the destination of choice.

Not sure I believe it but thought I would share. I was told this a little bit ago so these stories of a move to Bayern now seem quite interesting.

Really cant see him moving to Germany, does he really prioritise what club he is at over the comfort and happiness of his family, would they be willing to uproot everything with another baby on the way to move to Germany? I can't see it personally.

Can't see him wanting to go to Germany either.

Stupid move if true. He'll moving to a team that is a level below us, Madrid and Barca.

Hundreds of thousands of pounds every week help to make families 'comfortable'.

Before the Sir Alex news I would'nt have cared at all if Rooney was sold, for some reason now that I know about Sir Alex retiring losing Rooney seems like a much worse idea.

Opposite to me. It puts everything else into perspective, as far as I'm concerned he can do what he likes if he insists on going.

I don't really know why I changed my mind after the Sir Alex news, I guess I just feel like we need some sort of stability at the club now and losing Rooney would certainly be a big hit to the confidence of the team. With Sir Alex here I just always felt he'd handle things and it would be fine, with a new manager I'm not so sure.

Yea that makes sense I suppose. I do think that if he left now, it wouldn't overshadow the whole summer.

This finally puts the nail in the coffin of those journalists claiming Sir Alex has spent the last few months trying to ease Rooney out, because it's not his decision, and presumably he's known that for quite awhile.

Not really. In that case, did the new manager sign Zaha then?

There's a world of difference between signing another youngster and trying to push a world class player out of the club just before a new manager arrives. The same goes for Nani.

Your tagline is so apt. Just read it

Edit - In reference to the thinking you're intelligent part!

We're still awaiting you taking your words back. Or is it 7-0 but still not the same level? ;)

Not really. Spending £15m of the clubs money on a player the next manager may not want is similar to getting rid of a player the next manager may want.

The common denominator would be Ferguson doing what he thinks is best for United.

I'm sorry, I get that you're one of those desperate to see the back of him, but the only way Wayne Rooney will be leaving this football club is if our next manager wants shot of him.

Not hard to figure out, was it? ;)

Back on the topic, I can't see Rooney being too happy if Moyes comes in.

I don't but as time flies you still refuse to accept being wrong. :)

Hook, line and sinker.

It is brilliant I have riled some of the fan boys so much they are still harping on about it on one of the biggest days of news from Manchester United Football Club ever!

I am good.

Yeah, I am such a big Bayern fan boy that I don't even like them and will support Dortmund in the final.

Didn't Rooney claim that Moyes forced him out of Everton and they generally dislike each other?

They have put it behind them after Rooney apologized to Moyes.

Not really, he was being stupid and clueless and will now try to pretend it wasn't really his opinion.

You should see all the clueless people who were PM'ing me during the thread laughing about the reaction I was causing...

Or perhaps it was the stupid and clueless people getting their knickers in a twist?

Who knows

As I said, try to spin it around all you want and pretend it didn't happen. Won't change a thing, perhaps in your own imagined world you're a hero but there you simply looked like a clueless arrogant cnut.

I don't need to spin anything, it gave me a laugh and plenty of others. If you don't believe that then fair enough, I am not bothered. Unlike some I don't take this place overly serious.

And I have been called plenty worse than the C Bomb before so feel free

If being clueless is funny to you then all fine. :)

Jesus I didnt think it was possible for TR to look any more sad.

All his pals were PM'ing him though...

fecking hell, why on earth is everyone so dramatic on here?! 'If' Rooney were to be sold, it would obviously be down to the fact that people at United want to see the back of him, not Rozay from Redcafe. We are speculating on potential reasons that those people would sell him.
