Better late-on. Before that, if he'd had pockets in his shorts his hands would've been in them.
He's just not that good anymore. Has his moments, the odd fantastic pass or two. But his overrall contribution to the team isnt very good.
Time to ship him off, and get Kagawa in the team.
I've had enough of people, including United fans, questioning the boy's talent and class. Well, just to set the record straight, Wayne Rooney is a world class footballer, and the best England have had since Gazza.
That is all. Thank you.

I genuinely thought he was excellent for the last half an hour, and I'm usually very critical of him.
Shinji must have been pissed off seeing him playing today, while he was in the bench.
I actually thought he contributed more than RVP today but that may be overlooked because RVP got the goal.
If we were to get a winner it seemed that Rooney would be involved in it.
Your knee just jerks every which way doesn't it?
That was, what 5 years ago?
Things change. Unfortunatley, so do players.

You don't think he's better now than he was in 2008?
posts from 2008?

This place is a joke at times, and this has reverted into a shit sandwich of a thread of late.
We'd miss him if he wasn't here. One of the most selfless, self sacrificing players in world football. Plays anywhere he's asked and puts a shift in, week in, week out. As well as having bundles of quality, as a goalscorer and provider.
And yet, here we have people saying he isn't very good any more and we should just get rid. Laughable.
The point isn't how his opinion has changed on Rooney or how long it took to do so, it's how he's always been hilariously knee-jerk. When Rooney takes a bit of (justified) criticism for going on a goal drought Sam comes out with the classic "leave my hero alone" reaction, now he wants him sold...a little knee-jerk, I'd say.

I'm knee jerk because in 2008 I rated a player far more then I rate him in 2013.
Brilliant.
Enough of this kind of shit
Agreed, he is not as influential as he used to be but most of the good/intelligent play in the 2nd half involved him.
Although I would have liked to see Kagawa given 30 mins and RvP off.
So he isn't? As a footballer? How many other strikers do you know who would play in midfield or on the wing and just get on with it? He's sacrificed his own game for others at this club plenty of times in his time here.
If you're getting at his private life, or his contract dispute then I'm afraid that's got feck all to do with it. I'm talking about what he does on the pitch. You know, the part that actually matters.

You sir, are a spastic.
