Van dijk would be great. Lindelof so-so.
Michael keane -please please no.

I like him but I'm skeptical if he'd be a good signing for the money. He's partial to a brain-fart or two, isn't he? If it was less than £30m I'd be happy, but don't think that is likely.
We should have got him when he was at Celtic. Not sure why we did not go for him at that time when it was apparent he was going to be a star in the near future
Agreed, he's been incredible all season for Ajax and would cost a lot less.I'd much rather have Davinson Sanchez.
Out of the three, he's probably the best, although I haven't seen much of Lindelof. But we shouldn't be looking to buy defenders in the £50m region.

He's basically a better version of Smalling, isn't he?
Great last name for a defender though, that's gotta count for something.I didn't even know he existed up to the point he was linked with us. He's not exotic enough to be good. A good CB needs to be bald and mean looking.
with a better passing abilityHe's basically a better version of Smalling, isn't he?
I don't get why people think he is good! Terrible on the ball, something we desperately need to address ourselves and Mou was obviously happy to let him have the ball last night. Caught out of position a few times as well (the fact he is fast and recovered/made a hollywood tackle doesn't make him a good defender)
He is just a much lesser Bailly
So...basically a better version of Smalling.with a better passing ability
Atheltic non-ball playing defenders like Sanches are easier and cheaper to find. Its the ones with the footballing IQ and on the ball ability that are rare, and those are the types we need. He's only 20 and he managed a good few tackles last night and he even beat Pogba on strength. Sure he may not be the best on the ball but we don't seem to be the kind of team that plays out of the back anyway, and he'd cost much less than the people we're linked to. He'd be a good understudy to Bailly (I still see Bailly-Rojo being are first choice partnership) and could ultimately be nurtured into a world class CB.
Sanchez is as poor on the ball as Smalling is. If people want us to properly compete for the title next year then signing raw 20 year old centre halves from the Dutch league is not the way forward.Out of the three, he's probably the best, although I haven't seen much of Lindelof. Nor do I. Nor do I think any of these CBs we're linked to are.I'm sure I'll get stick for saying this but personally I don't think he's any better than Smalling
We really dont need a second Bailly. Especially one with very little top level experienceOut of the three, he's probably the best, although I haven't seen much of Lindelof. But we shouldn't be looking to buy defenders in the £50m region.
I'd much rather have Davinson Sanchez.
More importantly he turned down Manchester City last summer as well.Laporte is not leaving Bilbao. Turned down barca last summer and signed a new contract.
