Viktor Fischer

I'd imagine that he'll be the main source of creativity for Ajax with Eriksen going. Of course he should be on our radar already, but a good season this year and I think we should be looking to sign him. With him and Adnan (if he signs) we should look to rebuild the wings with youth.

The development of Powell, Adnan, and Lingard and pursuing players like Barkley, Fischer, and Draxler is what our long term focus should be.

Zaha could very well be a key part of our future.

Looks a great prospect but the few times I have seen him, I haven't been impressed with his end product.

Ah right. Sure I heard it, but i could have been getting mixed up with another youngster that we were linked with last season.
Maybe Jean Paul Boetius? (dont know if he has been linked to United), he was great last season, similar level to Depay in my opinion, with 10 goals and 10 assists in the league, after Pelle moved, he has completely faded.

Cheers.
That's a massive shame. To be out for a whole year is really terrible for a young player.
Especially for him, I'd classify him as an emotional lad. Before the injury he was in pretty poor form, I thought his general play was still excellent but the goals werent going in, he struggled with that a lot mentally and when I watched his interviews you could just see what it did to him that time. He got out of that bad form a bit and then that terrible injury with multiple set backs, he's had a very hard time. If he gets back strong, I'm dead certain he'll become class, because talent isnt his issue.

I would not say that he's Depay level (yet), but he is quite good yes!
At the time, Depay is now miles ahead, but at the time they were quite similar I'd say. Depay had better physique and more goals scoring ability but in terms of general play, creativity, agility, actions, flair, crosses I had JPB a little bit higher. This season he just seemed to regress and Depay improved a lot.

Cheers again mate
Yeah and he had another relapse in training the other day so will be out longer
:(

It really hurts to hear that.

Still only 20, but could've been so much further in his career now. Slump in form in his 2nd season, then the long term injury. Bags of potential though.

What the hell was this 'very bad injury' ?
Bad hamstrings I think was the reason? Don't remember it being a break or ligament damage for sure. I remember watching Fischer battering Liverpool in the nextgen series a few seasons ago, scored a hatful in Liverpool. Instantly made me a fan of him, hopefully he can get back to his old form.

It was problems with his thigh. Hopefully he can get some minutes in the remaining matches, and then he will be back at 100% after the summer. Great talent.

They played it in my hometown so I went with a bunch of Liverpool fans. Remember Ajax's frontline and midfield all being very good and also it was way too much fun seeing how miserable all my Liverpool fan mates were.

Incidentally Sterling played in that game and I wasn't even sure if he did because he was that anonymous.

Another good reason to keep RVP one more season before looking again at Fischer. Personally I'd like RVP to move into the set up here with LVG. Player coach perhaps. Depay also appears to have a strong relationship with Van Persie. Still alot to give for me in several roles.

With a name like that he's got a career as a Bond villain ahead of him.

So is he more of a forward or a midfielder?

Can definitely see him go into management. But I'm sure he'll start off in Holland first, probably with Feyenoord. Would love it for him to be a coach for us though

Isn't Fischer an attacking mid?
