As you said; he will come good. And that is it. I don't see Hojlund becoming game changing striker who is scoring goals week after week (i hope that i am wrong). Good is ok for a team whos goal is EL spot. Or being backup striker for biggest teams.
Look, i know that i have a "problem" with high standards regarding United players (for which i got this tag from Moses
) but nevertheless, striker position is position where you go for the best that you can buy. IHaving said that i am aware that we will stick with Hojlund and buy some cheap backup striker. Osimhen train left when we spent 70 mil on Hojlund.
Aren't they very different profile players? Wouldn't be like for like presumably? I know very little about Osimhen, just from what I've read.
What about Rashford?
Yeah, Osimhen is a very typical centre forward. However, Ramos doesn't look like he's setting the world alight for them at all, so they might just have Osimhen up top with two of Asensio/Dembele/Barcola/Lee out wide and Kolo Muani as backup.

80m euros is £68m and Lukaku is valued at what, around £35m? Osimhen appears to have a bit of a down year after his monstrous season last season but a package worth around £100m feels like the best deal we can get out of Napoli.

Im not saying Lukaku is as good as him, but he’s got more goals this year than Osimhen.
Id love Osimhen here but we’ve other priorities to fix before splashing most our budget on a striker.

Well, he’s not a player who makes many of his own chances and one of our issues is creating enough chances..
Can't see us spending that much on one player let alone a player in the same position as Hojlund
He makes many runs in behind the opponent’s centerbacks, he knows how to attacks crosses and get good headers. We have the quality to create those chances for him if we want to…
If the quality is there to create chances, then why is Hojlund being defended with the excuse that he doesn't get enough service? And if there indeed isn't enough service, why would it be different for Osimhen?
Happy if we do but I’ll believe it when i see it. Otherwise we have a 100m player that we have no clue about
we don't cross the ball very often b/c of our winger situation so that won't be of any help
