I've stuck up for him for a while but I'm just fed up with him at this point. You just can't be this weak and this slow in the Premier League
 
I swear about 7 seconds into the game he misjudged a jump for a header and ended up making an error.

And it was downhill from there.

Can’t be a top centre back with no pace and shocking abilities in the air.
 
Can we never play him again? Surely Ole has had enough of this guy. That was probably one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen from one of our CBs.
 
He's an absolute joke of a defender.

Straight from the kickoff! I noticed that too and thought to myself wow this guy is shit. The rest of the game just solidified that belief further.
 
I'd rather have Kouyate at the back for us and he's not even a centre back.
 
Train wreck of a centre back and always has been. The idea that he is better than Smalling and Baily is insulting to both players.
What sort of centre back is too weak to head the ball or put his foot into a challenge.
Mistakes are mistakes and Maguire had a shocker today but at least he plays like a cb.
 
He's so much shite, so soft so weak reminds me of Johnny Evans, very indecisive and unsure about his defending. The worst part about all of this is he's going to start the next premier league game even if Bailly and Smalling is fit.

That's why the board didn't have faith in him to spend another penny on centre back. Sold Blind because he didn't rate Blind as his standard centre back but still signed Lindelof, weird manager.
 
Lacks pace, bravery and heading prowess. Everything you'd think a decent centre-half should possess.
 
Average in the air.

Averse to tackling and winning the ball in general
Overrated on the ball

I don't see why this fellow is rated higher by Ole than Smalling.
 
Re-watch the replay for the 3rd Palace goal. He actually got to the ball first, it's beautiful in slow motion.

Blind was a better player that Lindelof without question. He was a superb reader of the game and a baller.
 
Wasnt the only poor one. Lost count of the amount of times Maguire passed straight to Townsend to set them up.
 
He can't be starting for us any more. Is tuanzebe and bailly fit?

Jose deserved to get sacked there for the crime that he had done in his defensive recruitment.
