VAR, Refs and Linesmen | General Discussion

They haven't even properly shown the replays.a quick mention.every other team it's looked into on the footage

The replay for the second one was just blatant. Semenyo doesnt even know where the ball is, both arms around maguire and when he lets go a second and maguire passes he pulls his shirt.

Anyway, we let this happen over the last five years. Some of the calls against us have been so shocking we should have had them listed in press conferences or interviews, this season alone has seen some of the worst calls ive ever seen on a football pitch given against us. We did nothing, let ourselves get rolled over by refs every week and now its the norm.

I know some people won't like it, but I'd love for someone from the club to call out the BS calls we see every week. Today there have been fouls for Bournemouth we'd never get and decisions VAR haven't given our way that Bournemouth would get.

Call them out!!!
United somehow appointed the only Portuguese manager in history who doesn't complain about refs.

It's clear the refs agenda against United. What really irritates me is that no one calls this out. The moment someone questions Neville will come running saying we shouldn't be complaining .

Fcuk Var and Refs

It's rampant and blatant bias against United at this point from referee decisions and media coverage. Minor fouls we make get questioned but fouls against us get skipped over. The owners and coach should go after the refs publically. I know they hired a PR firm to tackle this after the Super League fiasco so don't know if this is retaliation for that given our prominent role in that. Either way sanction the owners don't penalize a fan base. Make it a us vs. them thing for EPL, take the small fines that prop up from the commentary. I don't think the EPL can afford this given the mess they are dealing with City already.

"He wants to win" says Carragher. See ? No need to be upset about that decision.

Referees are clearly very aware of the uproar that will come should they give a potentially game changing decision in Utd's favour, or don't give one against us. So they err on the side of caution when it comes to giving Utd decisions but follow the exact letter of the law when giving decisions against.

The issue with these kind of decisions isn’t just this one bad tackle, it’s the tone it sets for the match. Some teams are allowed to be more physical. It’s easy to win battles when the ref ignores fouls that he then gives the other way.

We are shit but how often we get the rough end of referees decisions needs to be addressed.

Dorgu booked for having the temerity to be kicked in the shin.

Theyve ruined the sport. We're in a world where adams and dorgu tackles got the same punishment. Its pathetic beyond belief.

That wasn't even a tackle from Dorgu. It was an interception. The Bournemouth player then kicks him.

There is a linesman on that side too not 5 yards from it. It just proves that refs only react to how loud you can scream.

It’s on Amorim and the club. If you think these are ‘excuses’, then you will never win anything as these things matter.

Amorim needs to say something!!

I simply refuse to believe you would call that a red if that was a United player. I hate these kinds of red cards that were invented by VAR. Good for us, but a very harsh red.

Dorgu got a yellow here - state of refereeing is shocking

Get ready for the narrative around this match being why didn’t Casemiro get a red for his high challenge. And then you’ll see why United don’t get the calls.
