It’s getting to the point where it’s harder and harder to explain how theyre coming to these decisions without looking to corruption.
It’s ok Dermot Gallagher will explain it to you. Both Van Dijk challenges were definitely not penalties despite being much more contact. Casemiro was definitely a penalty despite him barely touching him. Don’t call him a hypocrite, you’re just trying to catch him out and he can’t win.I'm very confused as to what determines a penalty nowadays. More so than before VAR was introduced.
I can’t be arsed. Commentary teams are a bunch of hypocrites too
Just noticed that it's Tierney on VAR too. Can't make it upIt’s ok Dermot Gallagher will explain it to you. Both Van Dijk challenges were definitely not penalties despite being much more contact. Are you? From who?If I speak I'm in big trouble. Big big trouble
It’s going to be a real head scratcher for Gallagher. “That particular Referee has a higher threshold for penalty contact than that VAR operator”.Just noticed that it's Tierney on VAR too. Can't make it up
Howard Webb has been on the 'Officials Mic'd Up' program saying they were going to start asking referees what they think they've seen...I get why VAR didn’t overturn it. There was minimal contact. Never should have been given in the first place.
Didn't even take 24 hours for them to prove your point. So now all of a sudden refs know how much contact is enough to put a player running at speed down to the ground. I'll wait until the new gameweek when the excuse will be ''Well there was contact!''
Depends on team. Look at yesterday. Chelsea should have 3 penalties but We know what happened.Howard Webb has been on the 'Officials Mic'd Up' program saying they were going to start asking referees what they think they've seen...
Surely in this scenario, VAR ask him what he's seen, referee says contact from Casemiro causing Wolves attacker to fall, VAR say that's not what's happened and overturn.
We are now at the stage where ANY contact is now a VAR-certified penalty if you fall to the floor afterwards.

There needs to be investigation. This is not normal.
If Dermot writes this off with it being the EXACT same person on VAR as the Liverpool game, I’m gonna drive him to the dole office myself

The Chilwell one was a dive. He didn't even try and claim it.I didn't catch the game yesterday. Were they given on field and then over turned? Or not given on field? Think that makes a difference here.

Yeah that's not a penalty.

The Nkunku one definitely should have been given.
The Gallagher one is probably a harder call than Nkunku. Maybe why it wasn't given.Chilwell blatantly dived. Gallagher and Nkunku should have been pens though.
Unlike Jota had.Problem is I don't have a leg to stand on when Jota gets one like he did in the Newcastle game.
How long until the PMGOL apology?
