VAR, Refs and Linesmen | General Discussion

Clear view from perfect line showed it was onside with no question.

Here’s a view from 30° behind and some random lines to tell us it was off.

feck off.

Extra annoyed because it's us tonight but another example of VAR solving a problem that never existed in the first place. No-one would have ever complained about that being given pre-VAR because any sane person would have just laughed at the no-life nerd who got his ruler out to prove it was a centimeter offside.

Bizarre angle on TV replay.
They showed the perfect angle parallel to the pitch for the replay which he looked inside, then VAR chooses to mess around looking at angles behind the play to make the decision.

make it make sense.

Feck the offside rule as it currently is.
The attacker will always have his upper body ahead of the defender as he’s running towards the goal, the feet should be where the line is drawn for the offside

Still hate var

Couldn't even initially celebrate because I knew I had to wait for var. Kills the moment

I hate VAR, always will. It literally makes no difference because it fecks up so many plays, fouls, cards, offisdds that it negates the good it does. Same as before but with less excitmeent

Yeah I get the plus points but my kids celebrated whilst I just sat there waiting for the review  kills moments like those

Gabriel’s head looked like he played the guy onside.

What they said: It'll stop egregious decisions like Henry's handball against Ireland

What they delivered: Upon further scrutiny, the shadow of his cock strayed into an offside position

Top work. Everyone that supports goals like Garnacho's being chalked off is a cnut

Then on the review he looked on. There are plus points the negative have took away something massive from the game. I feel like the majority of goals we score I have to wait to see if var will interfere.

Absolutely fecking right.

With close calls like this it is insane they are overruling the on field call, clearly the VAR team can just pull a frame back or forth depending on what suits the narrative

Vat has cost us this game, thei we’re on their knees when we’re 1-2 up, and they fecked us in this.

It was offside. So annoying but VAR did its job.
Probably is. But how do you know for sure? They literally showed the replay for a second from an angle you can't even see how they drew the lines. At least show the proper angle of the footage if it is actually offside ffs.

I've no qualms with today. VAR was right in overturning the pen and it was offside.

Not for the first time, We simply have to defend a corner better then that

Not to worry lads we will get one in our favour next match. Seems to be the way they do it.

This is what VAR is. It's fecking shite. Ruling out perfectly good goals.

Offside was never introduced to rule out goals like that. Football has been destroyed by anal shitfecks.

Someone invent a time machine so we can go back before football was and this and virgin baldies positing videos about xG

I need to see this replay, a few have mentioned it..not seen it myself.

Drawing lines like that is very speculative. If anything it was very very tight. Not sure if this shouldn't just be let go and keep the decision on the pitch.
