Utd prepared to sell Fellaini this summer

We should stop encouraging these dicks. They know nothing. Anyone can guess and occasionally get one right. They then tell you that they told you so and they are ITK.

I usually am prepared to be more patient than most with players but if someone bid £15m for him I'd take it gand run.

There's a chance for United to make a profit here. All he has to do is switch to Brazilian citizenship and change his name to Fellaininho. PSG will come calling immediately.

He even has the stupid hair, we can just say that he is Luiz's more talented, long lost brother. Do you think they will buy it ??

Fellaini is a strange one

before this season his true value for me was about 20 million

Everton bought him for 15 and he was a very effective player for them

15-20 and I'd sell him

strange things can happen in a World Cup as well - I remember Gary Breen nearly signing for Inter Milan after Japan/Korea 2002

If we can get 15 million from anyone for him then we should snap both their hands off and send them a Christmas hamper for the next 5 years too

Didn't we pay something like 18m with addon making it 27m?

We presume he has not fur filled any of his add on, how would it work if we sell him now for 15m, would everton get a sell on clause based on the percentage of addons?

He's not going anywhere. We spent 28m on him, no chance he's sold after one year.

Hopefully we can at least do what Liverpool did with Carroll and send him on loan to a club that might be willing to buy him the summer after.

Zenit, please take him off our hands. You could use another Belgian midfielder! Or make a swap deal even?

Give him to PSG + 20 mil and let's get Moura pls!!

I still have hope for Fellaini, he's had a shit season but so did many. With a quality midfield partner, hopefully someone mobile he could still do a job. The squad just isn't set up for his style, it's obvious him and Carrick is too static.

Do what sort of job, though? He can't pass, he can't dribble, his ball control is horrid, he is the slowest midfielder we have, and for a defensive midfielder his positional sense is stupidly weak. Oh, and worst of all, he simply cannot tackle. All he offers are flailing elbows. I just cannot fathom how people expect him to become better when he shows no traits of positivity. He shouldn't even be a squad player here - purge him and the deadwood before it is too late.

I feel ya, I could list at least 7-8 players I'd liked sold from the squad and tbh if Fellaini goes I wouldn't care. I just think he would be a decent squad player if we already had some quality in midfield. Shame a decent squad player ended up costing £27m but that's not his fault.

I actually think it's stupid. It won't raise any funds really, and he could be a useful player for us if he the system is right. I mean he's not only succeeded in Everton, he also is a starter for his national team and Belgium is shaping up to be a WC dark horse favorite really. So i would keep him and at least let his stock rise, because pretty much it can't go worse than this year.

Some of this talk about the "system" not being right for him is unreal.

What system do people propose using? The "stick him up front" and punt it up to him system?

The "put in mobile players round him as he's so embarrassingly slow and immobile" system?

We'd probably change everything for a Ronaldo, but not for an average midfielder!

It will be interesting to see if he plays on tour, where he plays and how he gets on.

Behind the striker (well let's hope not) :)

I just doubt he's sold after one season but then again, you never know with LVG

Sadly, this is spot on.

It's amazing why Moyes bought him for 28M for.....

He of all people should know better

Ffs, saw this thread bumped and thought he was on the brink of leaving.

:annoyed:

I've never disliked a Man Utd player this much. Not only is he totally crap, he's also extremely lazy (how do a player actually dare being lazy when he knows the crowd hate him?) and not to mention he's a walking liability, he's likely to be sent off any given minute of the game with them flying elbows of his.

Because Moyes didn't trust our scouts enough to sign anyone he hadn't seen personally.

He wanted players like Fabregas and Bale because he had seen them in the EPL before, while in the process letting the likes of Thiago and Strootman, Herrera and Garay slipped.

It's a case of "better the devil you know".

I always find it weird how Moyes' backers in the league keep harping about his iPads and his war room on player scouting reports. His signings are always hit and misses; and more often than not his big money signings fail to perform. And the players that he reportedly wanted to sign this season are not exactly obscure players that he had unearthed with his detailed scouting operations.

Unfortunately for Dithering Dave, you can be as thorough and as in depth as you like in your scouting of prospective targets, but if you a risk averse indecisive chump it doesn't matter, because you will never sign them anyway.

I hope he stays. A nice lingering memory of a lovely time had by all.

Same goes for Gerrard, he's gonna hear some songs on opposing supporters' terraces next season I reckon!

Because Moyes is a bluffer, all the shit he spouted about having to overhaul the scouting department etc. was an attempt on his part to buy himself time because he was failing badly and he knew it. He was trying to make people believe the club needed drastic changes from top to bottom and that everything was sub-standard, some of his staunchest supporters bought it hook line and sinker luckily the board weren't so naive.

I wouldn't be surprised if we were prepared to sell
The surprise will be somebody paying his wages and giving us a transfer fee.
Subject to us having sufficient strength in depth I could envisage him being loaned with an agreed price at the end of the season (12-15m for a guess).

Is this confirmed then? Or is thread title misleading?

In my experience his staunchest supporters were usually opposition fans.... and retards.

City fans are used to it. Tevez came back and they supported him, same will happen with Toure.

Although we do let Rooney do what the feck he wants so many supporters are hypocrites really.

Maybe youre right, you play well enough and all is forgotten.
Rooney, however leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Same here, I really dislike Rooney. But I keep pretty quiet on the matter and if he scores 20 goals next season I'll be happy enough.

When he's positive and on form he is terrific, I think he will be on his best behaviour with LVG around, especially during the 1st season.
However if he can be used as a makeweight to get a truly world class player like a Hummels I'd say go for it.
