No viable candidates. Maybe Hillary could pull it off with the Bill machine behind her (no pun intended). It would still be a long shot. There are less viable demos out there to run against Obama than there are repubs.

Tonight it's the turn of Fox News to broadcast the latest GOP debate from Orlando. If the previous debates are anything to go by, this should make for some good comedy viewing.

dems have learned from challenging a sitting president.

will not happen again.

When last did that happen, and what was the outcome?

What's the focus of this debate?

I'm not sure. They've been taking questions on their Youtube channel all week on a variety of matters, although whether there is a central topic or not, I don't know. It'll be streamed live on Youtube in just under 4 hours time, for those who are interested:

Doubt Obama would like anything more than a challenge from the left, save maybe the GOP nominating Palin

The GOP nominee will be either Romney or Perry.

Perry has the personality but is weak on substance. Romney is a weak personality..wishy washy at best. He also is the most boring candidate you can pick. But he does have more credentials than Perry...ie he is not an utter loon.

Obama will defeat both handily.

What is more interesting is the Genereic Congressional poll.

Its been trending Democrat recently. If they take back the house and retain the senate...as seems likely, we will see a very different turn of events than the 2008 sweep.

Completely false (other than the Palin bit). If a viable candidate (read Hillary Clinton) ran it would spark debate within the party where demos would have to look inside the party. Right now they have a unified front against "the party of no". If Obama was being picked apart from a respected demo and forced to defend himself it would be a boon for the repubs.

So the first debate had people cheering at innocent people being executed, the last one had "yeah!"s for uninsured people to die - what could be the most heinous thing to be applauded this time?

Can we resurrect Teddy Roosevelt? I would love to have him as president at president. He wouldn't take crap from anyone.

My 999 plan.....

9 beers, then 9 glasses of scotch then 9 hookers.

Can I get a subsidy please?

Keep on thinking I've been messaged...

 Some of the candidates are talking absolute shit. They're basically advocating abolition of practically all taxes.

Apparently most of the people watching this on youtube think you have to make a million dollars annually to be "rich".

Ok.

Sounds about right.

There's wealthy, then there's rich. For me anyway.

They're clearly pandering. No one on that stage, bar Paul, actually believes that. And even Paul knows better.

Can't remember the lower boundaries, but $500k a year is pretty fecking loaded.

I think it was 100, 250, 500 and 1MM. 500k is certainly wealthy. Rich? maybe, maybe not. The people that voted for 100k are loons. Nowhere near rich at that.

Perry really does have an identical look of glazed incompetence to that of Bush.

Ah we're onto the "Obama's a socialist" lunacy.

I believe in America! Europe isn't working in Europe, it's not going to work here! Government is too big! I love this country! I <3 private sector! I believe in the principles that make America the hope of the earth!

Newt in full deflection mode. 'I will refuse to answer questions I don't like. I will further go on to hit on my talking points which are nebulous.'

I'd like to see more of Cain. I like what he says but I just don't know much about him.

Finally, Perry and Romney going at it. The rest of this crap is boring. Typical rhetoric.

Bush is significantly smarter than Perry will ever be.

I would love to nail Megyn Kelly. She'd be great angry sex....

Her parents should be beaten for misspelling her first name. It should be Megan or Meghan. Not Meggon, Megyn, Meaghean, Maygan, or any other variation. It does not make your child unique. It makes her retarded.

Yes but should the Federal Government mandate she have been beaten.....
