Djokovic wins it!!!!

Won't matter as Rafa will win tomorrow, but great to see Djokovic beat Roger. Deserved to win, as poor as Roger was Novak played good tennis.

He really grew a pair in the last few games. This set from 3-3 has been quite incredible. Quality stuff!

We'll definitely have a new US Open winner this year :D

Credit to Federer though. Way below his best and yet almost took it.

He'd prefer Federer I think. Would have loved to rub it in again and beat him in a FOURTH consecutive grand slam final meeting.

Quite the opposite for me actually. Nadal has federer's number and Nadal would have embarrassed this sort of Fed tomorrow.

Djokovic on the other hand has won his last 3 meetings with Rafa and has a 7-3 H2H on hard courts.

Djokovic could cause Nadal more trouble than Federer. Which means he might win a set.

Lets not underestimate Djoko here. He showed some mental strength missing from his game today. He's going to be a real tough challenge for Nadal tomorrow. Infact Federer would have easily been a much easier match. Hopefully Novak is tired and gets back to choking tomorrow though ;)

Well the organizers are kind of stupid :lol:

But I guess it's fair in the end because Djoko/Fed played their first game 3 days before Nadal/Youzny had started theirs.

Anyway the final will be Rafa's 3rd game in 4 days while its Djoko's 3rd in 5 so I guess it evens out.
 
I am just having a shitty sports weekend. I have lost serious money on this game. It was a great game but feck, you can't enjoy when your money is at stake. Feck you Roger. You fecking had two match points.
I know what will make is a complete shitty weekend that is the Patriots lose. I think I will top myself lol

Well I had a shite sports weekend with Everton and the late goals and ARsenal and Chelsea winning. Thankfully Nadal and Novak saved the day :D
 
Woman's final in just over an hour. It's 4:45 here. Time to sleep an hour and wake up :lol:

Looking ahead to the womens final, Clijsters should win but Zvonareva played very good tennis yesterday and could pull off a suprise.

She's beaten Kim the last two times.

Clijsters cruising, will serve for the championship. Zvonareva's fought hard but Kim's quality has been evident throughout the match.
 
Clijsters wins it. Third straight US Open win for Kim. Zvonareva battled but like Wimbledon lacked the quality (she looked immense against Wozniacki)

I hope the mens final isn't as one sided as this tomorrow.
 
What a performance by Kim. She's just different class to everyone else (Williams' included) at the USO. 3rd hard court title of the year, 3rd back to back USO as well :D

Would not mind tomorrow's final being even half as easy and boring as this for Nadal :p
 
Feel sorry for Vera. She's a really a fine player. She seems to have gotten her head sorted and showing her potential. Hopefully a slam winner soon.

I hope Djokovic battles and performs as well as he did today to make it an interesting match. I've been supporting Djokovic through the tournament so I hope he wins it, but Rafa's been immense and I think he'll canter to a straight set win.

Anybody know if he does win in straight sets, will he be the first to win a Slam without dropping a set in the tournament?

He still is good enough to win slams IMO. Just that he'll also get beaten a lot too. I reckon he wants another Wimbledon to tie with his idol Sampras. I seriously hope he goes out at near the top.
