Us Open 2012

F-ing delighted Serena won - 15th Grand Slam. Not to mention she is also a 13time doubles GS winner.

She's only lost 4 GS finals, and those were to Venus(2), Sharapova and Stosur. The losses to Venus and Sharapova are fair enough..the only real disappointment would be Sam Stosur - losing to her ffs :(

Haters

When will the men's singles final? How many hours from now (time of my post)? Been googling but can't find it =(

Are Sky trying to compare Murray to Ali, Messi, Bolt, Woods?

fecking hell.

They did some opening piece basicially saying if he wins this he could join those athletes in legendary status.

Murray comes across so well in interview. I'm ashamed that I was on the hating Murray bandwagon originally - he seems a really sound guy. Doesn't look like he cares too much about the media, isn't overly arrogant or twattish and is a really good player to boot.

Hope he wins tonight.

SAF is there....

from the beeb coverage online:
Evening Standard's Chris Jones on Twitter: "Sir Alex Ferguson will be in Murray's player's box for the final."

edit: turns out I missed the hoopla over SAF and Sean Connery being at the final.

Yeah, I've never really understood the hate.

He seems to get stick for wanting to play tennis instead of being some kind of plastic media whore.

He's actually good at tennis too, as opposed to Henman who was just nearly good.

For that montage alone I hope he gets annihilated.

I actually think most of the dislike stems from him being Scotish and some of the English felt they couldn't get behind him. I'd like to think the Olympics has negated such arguments.

P.s Come on Murray!!!

Heart says Murray, heads says about 75% Djokovic.

Come on Andy!

What a start for Murray breaks immediately and looks like the game he played on Saturday in the wind is going to be a help today.
