The backhand slice is really fecking up things for Murray right now.

Until one of them manages to adjust to the wind it is going to be one of those games that will be full of break points and errors. As by looks of it from the serves so far the end Murray is serving from at present is looking slightly the easier for serving, so like Saturday it is going to be whoever holds their serve best from the bottom side of the court to help towards the result.

In these conditions this early on both players are not going full on for the shots, as it is going to come down to who settles the best in these conditions and finds the right balance to go for it when they can.

That's probably why I've never really noticed it, he's not been out of control for a long time now.

Another break for Murray now comes the hard bit holding the serve from the bottom end of the court, as so far this end is causing problems for both of them when serving.

For whatever reason it looks to be more difficult to play from the end Murray's about to return from (or it's easier to play from the other end).

I noticed it during his defeats to Federer this year. But the first I remember was the 2011 USO SF against Federer, where his grunting was pretty loud.
I think it helps him concentrate and put a bit more power into shots.

A couple of times there was almost computer game levels of silly swerve on the ball.
