they never showed the first two rounds. this is actually bonus getting these days covered. and the augusta , the masters in particular is all about tradition. like golf in general. men have to wear slacks on tour , the crowd being quiet , even though baseball and cricket fans are going mental and the ball is moving.

The Masters is my favourite major but the television politics, if that's the right word, and golf's general inability to modernise like other major sports, more or less spoil the opening two rounds.

Nah, it's always the same, even when all four days were on BBC, they still didn't start full coverage till 8pm. BBC did and do the exact same (for Sat and Sun) they have an hour of catch up and then the second half of the rounds. It's exactly the same in the States, their coverage starts at the same time as ours.

Well Augusta controls the Masters unlike other tournements like the Open which moves from place to place, doesn't seem to be hurting them any. Plus I normally am at work during the first two rounds, so don't really care if it is on television or not.
