But how many of the players you mentioned are good enough for United ?
And how many of Januzaj, Shawcross, Fletcher, Evans, Welbeck, Wilson, Mcnair, Morrison are/were good enough for Ajax ?
Just seen this one, none are good enough except Januzan, Fletcher when he was already matired, Welbeck, Wilson is of the talent to make it here too. In reverse, verthongen, alderweireld, eriksen, klaassen,Blind, fischer could easily make it at United as first team players or the most promising talents. Morrisom obviously in trms of talent too, but he wouldnt make it here for the same reason as he didnt here.

Our scouting system is nothing short of excellent.

Who was our last 'excellent' outfield signing?

Considering the hundreds of millions we've spent in the last 5 years, and the subsequent state of our squad, I really think calling the scouting/transfer system 'excellent' is a bit...out there.

Scratch that, I should have been clearer. I was referring to our youth scouting, which I think has been impressive recently.

Our scouting system, is quite good though because according to reports the scouts proposed, Strootman, De Gea, Thiago, Hazard, Bale, Shaw, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Varane, etc...
It's not their fault if the powers in place, refused to follow their reports.

Despite Van Gaal's odd tactics, our defence is actually very much over-criticized. 3rd best in the league.

Fair enough lads, I was including our actual signings into our scouting system which was wrong of me (I think).

So I'll rephrase my original 'unpopular opinion' into a new thread...

Everyone mentions de gea being the saviour to our defence but yet no one seems to realise how much cech and courtois Bale out chavs. Our defence is fine. Much better than last year

It has been mostly because of De Gea though, not the defense.
I've been hearing that a lot, and of course when we were crippled by injuries at the start of the season that was the correcr, since we've had a more settled back line recently has that been the case? Has DDG had to pull off supersave after supersave to keep us in a game? Not really.

In that case you're not signing Falcao.

I'm not sure who will then - the price seems why too high for the vast majority of clubs, and those that can afford to pay it must be reluctant given his form the last couple of years, particularly when those sort of clubs could look at other options.

Someone will sign him (probably us) but I don't Monaco are in that strong a position on price as things stand.

Even though I don't really like him.
Moyes would have done a decent/good job with this current squad

  • Valencia's been a better defender than Shaw, since Shaw's arrival at United. He's really been Dier, Chambers (let them off because they're young and you know they make mistakes) level.
  • Jonny Evans is having a great season just like Smalling is, if you take the occasional early season misplaced pass out of it.
  • Herrera would be United's outfield player of the season had he played most of the games. Ahead of Rooney, Blind, Di Maria, Smalling or whoever else.
  • Lloris has had a harder job, been equally as good and saved more points than De Gea both this season and last.

Why do Spurs fans feel they can't praise Llloris without saying he's as good as DDG. I've seen Lloris let in some poor shots this season. He's very good. I'd rather have DDG.

This is complete rubbish. Evans has been atrocious and has had much more than the "occasional misplaced pass". The first half of the season he was a walking disaster. If not injured, he was giving away a goal or more a game and showed a lack of leadership bordering on criminal for our senior center back.

I would of decked Evans for spitting at me.

Henderson is looking like some player.

Di Maria and Falcao would be playing better in another top class team.

Manchester City would be insane to get rid of Pellegrini.

Come on mate thats just not true, he's been involved in games that resulted in 9 clean sheets this season. And in the games he played where we conceded 1 or 2 he certainly wasn't at fault for them all.

He has been poor for the majority of the season, but not nearly as bad as a load of posters on here think or would have others believe he has been.

Van Gaal is only getting by on the fight that the players are showing because of his past achievements, something which Moyes never got because he never had any.

I disagree with that, but that’s also an important reason why you shouldn’t employ managers with no achievements.
