What's that five years based on? Pulled out of thin air?
I don't think you have the financial capability to become a major Premier League force and as a consequence putting in a strong a title challenge like you did last season. Plus, Rodgers is a very good manager who I doubt will emulate a Ferguson or Wenger in terms of longevity and I think it's unlikely you'll find an upgrade on him. Just my opinion, but it's far more likely than your bordering-on-delusion opinion that Liverpool will contest for the title next season. I simply do not see it, but lets see.

No, I'm not being defensive, I don't care, it's a game of football. That's all. I've got an issue with you calling folk glory hunters.

Why do have an issue with it, it's my opinion? Are you so certain it isn't true?

Right, I understood why you didn't think we'll challenge. I didn't ask about that though. I asked where you pulled the five year figure from.

You said this place is full of gloryhunters. You're the one making an accusation, you're also not explaining what a gloryhunter actually is. See, I don't know what a gloryhunter is...If it's not a literal definition.

I don't necessarily agree with Fergus, but the name is pretty self-explanatory no?

Southampton don't play exciting football and aren't worthy of being in top 4 (a lot have been saying we don't deserve to be in top 4 :wenger:)

Right, I understood why you didn't think we'll challenge. I didn't ask about that though. I asked where you pulled the five year figure from.
Out of my arse, are you happy now you sensitive soul? Christ, it's just a random duration of time. Might be three years, might be five, just put it this way; I don't see you challenging in the foreseeable future, but Liverpool are a very impressive side at the moment so who knows.

I formed my opinion the same way everyone forms their opinion, from their experiences. I find this place to be as bad as RAWK, particularly on match day, and find myself coming across more and more fans that I would term 'glory hunters'. Is that ok with you?

I'm not going to give you a step by step breakdown of how I reached these opinions, that would be too long, all you need to know is that they are my opinions, and clearly unpopular ones at that.

No, it’s no ok with me, you haven’t explained one bit why you think it’s largely true that Uniteds fans on this site are glory hunters? Are you trying to make yourself look like a suerfan by saying this? What makes you different from a glory hunter? What are you doing right that the large majority aren’t?

That's someone who supports a team just because, she's successful, most of the time, they are very vocal when the team wins and brag about it, but are very discreet when the team struggle, they sometimes decide to support another team.

No I didn't, I said I think the majority of our fans are glory hunters (not necessarily on her but there are certainly a significant amount).

It can be a literal definition but I find if you get no pleasure from watching UTD because they are struggling for form, go around calling the manager and staff 'idiots' because they aren't delivering performances that we have become accustomed to, I would say you are a 'glory hunter', at least a little bit.

So you can’t have an opinion, if you do, you’re a glory hunter?

You are totally wrong, I don't take a lot of pleasure at the moment, but what makes me a fan, is the fact that despite that I can't stop watching every games.

You clearly can't read properly, or you are so defensive about my initial suggestion that it has hindered your ability to read. I never said the majority on here, I said the majority of our fans. Considering we are probably the best supported team in the world it's actually more likely to be true than not. If you can't accept my opinion without me having to break down each and very details which led me to form that opinion, then you tell me why it's wrong, in as much detail as you are requesting from me.

Basically, you've got your own definition. I think you're a gloryhunter. I reckon a gloryhunter is a person who accuses other folk of being gloryhunters on Redcafe.

It's those that have stopped watching, or claim they don't think it's worth watching when the line up comes out and it has RVP and Falcao up front, that I am referring to.

Anyway, clearly a lot of insecure fans on here.

Nah, there are only two people who've taken issue with you. Getsme and myself. But yeah we're shite to watch and it pains me to see us play like this. By your definition I am a proud gloryhunter.

Continue to watch, despite the fact that it isn't great to watch, and refrain from calling staff of the team you support derogatory terms just because they are delivering what we were extremely lucky to experience over the last 25 years, and you're fine in my book.

If you've decided you would rather not watch now that the going has got tough, then yes, in my opinion you are a glory hunter.

Understand yet?

Yes you were, you said

This place is slowly starting to resemble RAWK.The 'glory hunters' tag about UTD fans is largely true.

That suggests to me that you were talking about this place, even if you weren’t, what gives you the right to judge who is and who isn’t a glory hunter?

Of course you are entitled to your opinion, just like I’m entitled to call your opinion bollocks. I hate it when fans call other fans glory hunters, It’s like me saying to one of our Australian supporters that they aren’t really a fan because they’ve never been to match, even though they get up at stupid o’clock in the morning to watch us play.

You’ve got no right to call anybody a glory hunter.

Don't you know that every opinion in this thread has to be supported by hard evidence relating to how you formed that opinion? Not just a bit of evidence, masses of it please.

Go on.

Maye we should start a new Club called Gloryhunters United?

I think last season we put all the 'glory hunter' nonsense to bed once and for all with the patience Moyes enjoyed at a world elite club.

The class we've showed as a fanbase since SAF's retirement has been phenomenal - LvG himself has noted it.

You're on the wrong track with this one, mate. No offence intended, but just think about the above points for a minute.

You are a glory hunter! How do you like that?

Also, can you differentiate between different paragraphs?

We have some great fans, and some pretty terrible ones. The latter ones are becoming more and more apparent...

Probably old enough to be your father.

I asked you because most of the time, the people who supported a team who struggled understand the ones who are experiencing that right now.
For someone who only supported United in the last 20 years, it's difficult to see the club in this situation. Personally I won't judge anyone.

Liverpool will be title challengers again next season if they manage to keep Sturridge fit.

Everton have a better players than Spurs.

Really? Everton have players who have performed to a high level for a number of years but now they've gone one step too far and you can see with their underachieving league campaign they need a fresh up in the summer.

I'm not judging, it was merely an observation. Perhaps it makes me a worse fan that I'm not compelled to abuse the manger and players and switch the game off because RVP and Falcao are playing and Herrera isn't, eh?

It makes you a super fan, unlike all those that left Old Trafford early on Tuesday night.

You have no right to say that to me!!!!!

Someone got proper butt hurt by my unpopular opinion didn't they?!

I don't know who is worse or better or else. I just see fans, some express their feelings, some don't.

And you are judging, you just used a comparative adjective.
