I disagree.

The 4-5-1 encourages Giggs and Beckham to come inside too much. We have no width and only one striker to chase around like a headless chicken.

There's no discipline. If Giggs and Beckham stuck to what they do best, there might be more chances for the front one/two.

Why do you think Cole and Yorke were so successful?? They were playing behind a perfectly disciplined midfield who kept it tight in the centre, and used the flanks.
