You're even watching the game, so get off your high horse man.

How can anyone doubt that we are at our most comfortable when we play with two strikers????

Strikers need confidence and Forlan's is back! Great goal and celebration by the sounds of it, I can't wait to see it!!!

And why does Fergie insist on playing 1 striker up front, only to change it back after 70 min of suffering?

Murt'll come up with some crap statistics that'll defy whats plainly obvious in every game, and don't take into account the tactical changes during each game.

Once again, my opinions aren't based on the one game alone, but observations about the majority of our games this season. I have the right to an opinion and to discuss it with other people on this board. Why do you have a problem?

We should go for the jugular right from the off, especially at home. Much as I respect Phil Neville, we had a full midfield today - it's an insult to Ole, and Forlan come to that, to play Phil instead.

OT should be a place teams fear to come, where they're half defeated before the game starts and within the first half hour are totally demoralised. Thats what it used to be like. Especially against teams like Bolton, Villa and Southampton.

they should not have taken off Ormondroyd (sp? <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" /> )

they lacked an outlay, when he went off...thus we had the better of the later stages.

I have a problem with people you have no idea what they're talking about (i.e. you talking about a game you're not watching)... in other words arrogant and ignorant people.

Now, go back to the transfer forum.

That was Brett Ormerod, who seemed to be in the game a lot until he was taken off.

Because he likes to torture us. :)

I'll gladly eat the pie Arnie. Gladly.

maybe fergie just let the opposite play and learn our 4-5-1 tatic, when the minute goes to 70. he changed the tactic by adding more attackers, so southampton felt the united were different from the first half. its risky.

does that make sense

maybe cause we got the winner with 3 strikers on the pitch?

The boy's done good! And Weaste (and Aleni), just cos we scored at the end that doesn't mean 4-5-1 gives us the handy option to change to 4-4-2 or an attacking 4-3-3, its the reason we need to cos its so lame.

yep thats the name.

made the difference IMO.

we were able to push men up, without the fear of a counter.

That's not fair. If you're listening to the game, you have a fair idea of what's happening - you might as well close a match thread until the game is over if we aren't allowed to comment on it.

442 & 4411 was the difference between this and last week.
Last week we had no further options, this week we did.

4-3-3 in future then.

Niall should close the forum down, since we can't comment on the tactics as Alex doesn't read it, on the players as they might be upset if they read it, on the game as we're usually only listening or reading matchtracker - whats the point in this place?

Forlan's goal is fecking brilliant!!!
unstopabble shot to the top corner from outside the area..
He have been our saviour in the last two league games, and repay Fergie faith in him.
Here's to Forlan to become PL top scorer!!! :D :D

His best goals seem to be from outside the box, so I still reckon he's a great midfield player.
