United linked with Fernando Llorente

I rate Llorente very highly, whoever ends up with him will have an absolute beast in their ranks. And for the record I think Llorente is the spanish player with the best attributes to do well in the Premier League.

Oh comeon Llorente is a world class player too. His league goalscoring record with Bilbao is astounding, 41 league goals in 94 games. Anyway lets agree to disagree on that. Strangely enough it was the same argument discussed on MUTV with Paddy taking your role and the MUTV journalist mine :)

To be honest that's hardly astounding record. He is a very good player though, as Vato says and I believe he's watched him many times.

 For a mid table club in la liga that is not bad at all.

Perhaps a better statistic is the 30 goals he scored last season. More than impressive for one who excels with his back to goal.

Apparently it's all a hoax and he's not actually signed for Juve.

27mil jayziz didn't think that was gonna break the twenty mark once Juve were involved, also confirms that they certainly had the cash for Van Persie but he was dead set on coming here. Lovely Jubbly

Pogba's move doesn't look too bad after all. They are really making a statement. Not better than us mind you.

Marca states Juve offered 16M euros and Arsenal are ready to top that, which they should more than be able to.

We should buy this guy as well. What's another striker anyways? :D

On a serious note, Arse should go all in for him.

Wow if Arsenal get him I'll be impressed, Cazorla played a very good match aswell with Spain yesterday against Puerto Rico. He'll be a good replacement to try and make them forget Van Persie and I bet he'll be a success in England, he should move from Bilbao if he wants to improve as a player IMO.

Indeed, they would likely be better off than having kept an uncommitted RvP. Would be a massive boost/silver-lining for their fans.

Isn't Llorente too similar to Giroud?

AS think Spurs are in for Llorente, and that's where the Modric money will go (Soldado says he has turned down an offer from Spurs).

Marca think Arsenal will arrive with RvP money.

Juve are supposed to be looking at Negredo or Dzeko as alternatives.

Why don't Juve go for Berbatov for 5million?

However Llorente's representative Arino Bajo has now made it clear that his client's likeliest destination is the Premier League.

"Tomorrow Llorente will speak about his destination,” Bajo informed The Telegraph.

“It is very, very possible he will decide to go to the Premier League. I don’t know the club at the moment but there are two interested. One is in London, and one is in Manchester.”

Of course it's City, as Dzeko replacement if they manage to sell him. There's absolutely no way United would be interested. The London club could be anyone - Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal could do with him. My money would be on Tottenham though.

Got to be city, no way we will want another striker now surely.

Tbh i dont even know why they want him anyway, unless dzeko is out.

I highlighted the Manchester bit not because I thought it could be United but because as our direct title rivals we should keep an eye out for who they're interested in etc.

Hopefully being a first choice striker for tottenham will pursuade him more than sitting on the bench for city.

Surely Arsenal should be all over this. And have money to spend.

Arsenal should have bought him instead of Giroud. He would fit in nicely I think, especially with Cazorla already in the team.

Yep, I would agree with this as well. I fully expect many to underrate this powerful & skilled striker.

Just saw an interview with him on Revista, out of contract in the summer, not signing a new one. Where do you think he'll go? Will he leave in January?
