United in this Summer transfer window

So... halfway through deadline day and not even a sniff of a deal being made with anyone. Not looking promising.

End of the day:
IN:
Fellaini
Ozil
Herrara
Baines

How would that be for a last day transfer window? Think there is at least one too many midfielders in that list + not convinced we need Ozil, especially as Kagawa not getting enough games as it is.

End of the day:
Happy with the squad & no value in the market

How does that feel?

Even the slight whiff on Ozil appears to be going:

Arsenal are understood to be closing on a deal for Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil. He is believed to be undergoing a medical in Germany, with the Gunners looking to avoid any potentially costly delays.

Like I want to bang Moyes and Woodwards heads together!

It made me sick enough that Moyes said we had a good game against Liverpool when we created practically F-all clear chances and lost!

Whoever is in charge of succession planning at United (if there is anyone) should be sacked. To allow the two most important figures at the Club to leave together and not replace them till 1 July was absolute madness. Fergie said that plans were in place to strengthen the team before he left, so someone should have been project managing those plans during the transition stage. I cannot believe how an organization as big as United has dealt with such an important issue as bedding in the new Management team and getting the summer transfer business done. Just compare us with City - they have a new Manager from a different country but all their transfers were done and dusted very early on. We look like flaming amateurs.

I think whats happened is we bet everything on Fabregas and we didn't have a plan B in case he was playing us for idiots.

SAF and Gill were the two in charge of succession planning! Piss poor from United. Said early on in the summer that this squad wasn't as good as was made out - too many glaring deficiencies. Moyes needed proper transfer market backing...

Not a go at you but it is a poor excuse given the absolute toss of a sum we threw at them.

I'm just waiting for United statement stating that there is no value in the market and that there will be no signings.

Anyone who thought life after SAF would be easy was being naive at best. I dont think this summer constitutes a sackable offence, fiasco though it has been.

I expected some transfers at the very least. We are going into a deadline day having a signed a Right back who played for the reserves of an Uruguayan club side.

I don't know what's worse, the alarming performance yesterday against our biggest rivals or a failure to add any new signings. Would Barcelona have rejected a £40m bid for Fabregas ? I don't think so. Absolute shambles.

Arsenal's bid for Ozil puts our bid for Fabregas to shame. United are living way in the past if they think that an upper ceiling of £30m is going to get us the best players.

Heyy but we have a really good youth player!!!!!!!

It's been a delightful Summer according to Kevin though.

Somebody needs to get in touch with Moyes and ask him what the shit is he playing at. Does anybody have his number?

No, i am disappointed by Fabregas, Fellaini and Thiago not coming here... But now we must move on and don't panic buy because we missed our targets.

Some journos seem to be deriving a certain amount of pleasure from our transfer window failings, thus far. It is quite irksome.

I'd hazard a guess at us only having about £30m to spend. We're skint (relatively speaking).

What is our squad number situation like? How many new players can we even register?

James cooper could have at least surrounded himself with enthusiastic fans.

Cooper said it will be hard to sign Baines, but Fellaini is still an option. Nothing on Herrera.
